The thing is though Roger is that the bookmakers' rule is that if an interim has ten games then they are then the permanent manager.

So if there's a delay in getting Bilic done before the weekend then Riza would win when it comes to the betting markets.

Slaven Bilic has been in a meeting with Tan today. The media are slow to pick up anything up from this story.

I personally would be happy if they appoint Bilic.

Has experience in this league and has been promoted. Managed in the PL too.

Did a great job at Croatia. Developed those players well and they've gone on to achieve great things.

To have him in before the start of December, so that he can assess the squad and come up with some loan suggestions for our struggling positions will be the main thing.

Feels a bit harsh on Riza if it were to happen, but Riza knew it was interim, and this is football.

I sincerely hope this is true, he has the makeup to be a great fit here and his conferences would be interesting aswell.

Bilic would be a very good appointment. However, I'd rather Mark Robbins. Does anyone know if we've approached Robbins?

No idea if we've approached him.

But in the club's defence (not often I'll say that these days), Robins has been in a job for seven years - may want a break now before he goes somewhere else.

I doubt he'd sign without reassurances over funds for championship-grade forwards so in that respect I hope he signs. In my mind his is a manage-by-numbers, defensive Mourihno type, so we probably won't see Colwell much.

I think we will.

Bilic is a 4 2 3 1 type of manager but his past set ups have been with 3 attack minded midfielders and one mobile and clinical attacker up front.

Granted it was a while back but when he was in the Turkish league he played by far the best football.

He knows how to change his tactics dependant on the challenge also which I feel is key and something we have missed for a while.
