100% agree with you.

Thankfully I'm currently in the latter bracket and haven't voted because I don't feel I'm qualified to do so.

It's a massive subject and understand people's opinions for and against it but until you have that awful experience you can't know now 100% how you'd feel in that situation.

You absolutely should vote for that reason. If you have an opinion one way or the other. It’s good to have a wide spectrum of views and experiences.

I stand by my original post, until you go through that experience you don't really know how you'd feel under those traumatic times.

That is also true. I've had a relative going through a lot of pain for several months now.

But I do still have big concerns about the safe guarding.

What really needs to change is an improvement in palliative care.

I also understand some people who say this doesn't go far enough, I expect that will be part of the debate as this reaches it's next stage in 2025.

I'm sorry to hear about your relative, I hope things improve for them soon.

It's a massive subject and everyone has an opinion. If you look at it from another direction, there's also an argument that why should these over paid hypocritical MPs have a say on whether someone has the right to end their own life or not.

I don’t have the right to tell someone they must go through an insufferable death if they don’t want to…
Simple as that …
