He'll do well to get to May; probability sats he'll get sacked. At that point, back in the same loop.
It's groundhog day until we go down to league 1.

For those not on X or have missed it, here's a tweet from Abbo who confirms it's Riza with the option of Billic in January if its all gone tits.
Odd there's been no announcement of this if this is the case and also odd that the football agency engaged have arrived at the conclusion that the best manager for the job was in house all the time. Hmmmmm.

As has been said. Of all the available managers that have are out of work or who have been sacked within the last 70 days, is Riza the BEST manager to see us forward and safe. 1000% not. He has done OK taking on a poisoned chalice of a job, but now the pressure is telling on the board its almost as if they've turned round and simply said 'Oh give it to Omer because were miles away from finding anyone else and were all too busy to look'
If he was going to get it, give it to him during our 6 match unbeaten run. To give him the job in the middle of a poor barren run is just another ludicrous decision by this inept and quite frankly bizarre and comical board!
Tan Dalman and Choo..... All this does is give credence to the fact that you are all a million miles away from understanding how football even works let alone how to run a club.

Worrying people thought it was true.
Wed Dec 04, 2024 10:30 pm
Abbo and Williams are virtually the clubs PR department so I take Abbos's tweet as coming straight from Dalman and co. I hope it's not true but he's gone public with it and interestingly, both never challenge it from a journalistic POV. Funny that, isn't it?
Wed Dec 04, 2024 10:35 pm
If true then I think it seals our fate, yes he has got a couple of good results but also we have been battered and lost to bottom of the league without really troubling them at home.
Seems a good guy but he is not the one to save us in a dogfight.
Wed Dec 04, 2024 10:41 pm
Like I've said previously if giving job to riza until end season or even January it's taking s big gamble that we are not bottom of league because if in relegation place come January only thing to play for is avoiding relegation. With possibly no decent manager like Robins to call on to fight relegation as all recruited by other clubs.... this could be the demise of club from championship for years.

Yep. And Abbos answers in the tweet mention the usual Dalman/Choo/Tan tropes of youngsters coming through, academy doing well, good quality squad etc as they feed him this info and he follows the party line.
And the response to the open FAB letter will be exactly as Annis has detailed in a separate post sprinkled with the usual January window promises. BS. Nothing gets done at this club unless Tan says so, so whatever the managerial decision and state of the club, it's all down to him.
And I'd wager that any budget available in January will be small and granted at the last minute under the excuse of new accounting processes or something.
Groundhog day.

Omer Riza
Riza’s previous experience is lower Non League Cheshnut 10 years ago. 7 games with Leyton Orient in the Non League about 7 years ago (and Riza lost 5 of them) then next manager job is Cardiff City.

Omer Riza:
“On the Wednesday,I got on a flight. I got there on Thursday, then met on Friday, had a good chat, really intriguing and it's great to see what Mr Tan's achieved in the course of his lifetime.”
“I have nothing but respect and admiration for Mr Tan.”

I simply don’t believe in any of this. Billic would NOT wait around for Riza to fail. He is far too good for that situation. Mind you I do not understand why the latter went to Malaysia. What I do understand is that in this day and age to see a professional football club in the championship without a manager for this length of time and without a direction - and a capital city club- is non sensical, embarrassing and incomprehensible. I’ve seen so many great players playing for the city since 1966 and so many would have fought to the very end with pride for the shirt. They would be so hurt. Mr Tan, Dalman etc for shame on you.

If we’re going to go with inexperience… I’d rather John Terry.
Ruffle a few feathers, good knowledge of the game and played at the highest level.

I despair........Omar's a great guy, but not the answer to take us forward.
I didn't renew my season ticket this year after decades.......probably the best move I ever made.
I really fear for us if this is true......ah well, it is what it is. Why won't Tan just f**k off so we can actually move forward, not backwards under his dictatorship. I am really beginning to despise the despot.

When will tan realise the cheap options end up costing us more in the end!
Thu Dec 05, 2024 8:57 am
I know they are Clueless and I have NO Respect at all for Our Hierarchy
But surely they will not appoint Omer Riza as the New Cardiff City Manager?
Riza’s City team have not Won for 5 games and taken only 2pts from the last 15pts.
Omer Riza has Won Only 1 game in Our last 7 games.
Riza’s previous experience is lower Non League Cheshnut 10 years ago. 7 games with Leyton Orient in the Non League about 7 years ago (and Riza lost 5 of them) then next manager job is Cardiff City.

Great post. Most sincere and honest and heartfelt, unlike the Cardiff City board.

Let's just hope he's not appointed... mind you why would tan announce it now why not when he went to Malaysia? Is this just another made up story by wol to cause mischief with fans? Lots to this that doesn't add up ...personally think waiting to January to see where we are then if not in bottom three he'll announce riza which as I've said previously is a dangerous thing to do waiting! Before people start bashing me I don't think Robins ect have been contacted for the position either.
Thu Dec 05, 2024 2:32 pm
Just announce as manager until the end of the season
