I am not against extending his deal, but lets not get carried away with 4 weeks of form in 2.5 years

I'm amazed at all the negativity on here regarding Robbo.

We've lacked a consistent goalscorer for so long, it seems that when we have a player who starts knocking them in (and in a struggling team!), there's this strange suspicion about all manner of crap: he'll get injured again, he's another Tomlin playing well to gain a contract, hes got an attitude problem!

I'd extend his contract, he knows where the net is and is fit to play - long may it continue. I'd guarantee there are rival clubs in this division who'd take CR47 off us without hesitation.

I don't think anyone is doubting his ability, his record speaks for itself.

It's more to do with his age and injury record, that's what worries me.

He’s known where the goal is for two months out of two and a half years.

Nail on the head summary of Robbo right here.

I hope he keeps scoring (aside from the fact I said Harris would out score him) and I hope he signs a contract and continues to score next year and however many more years contract they give him.

But…. The people saying the board would be negligent not giving him a new contract will be the same ones saying the board were stupid and wasteful if he gets a three year 20k a year deal and goes back to his performance and output levels from 2022/23 and 2023/24.

To be fair to CR47, we all know he's had some fitness / injury issues over the past couple of seasons that have prevented him from playing and playing at his best.

Not only that, he's suffered at the hands of Bulut who wouldn't know a decent striker if it bit him on the arse. Bulut had a natural distrust of the maverick, the flair player - in fact, any bloody player with a bit of skill who wouldn't do the rigid defensive work he insisted all his players did!

So I think we can cut Robinson some slack regarding belatedly finding some form, now that he is fit and playing every week.

I asked him atthe end of the game if he would be here, he said ' i don't know, see what happens' - I should imagine if nothing comes in for him, he'll stay, anyone shows a sniff and he's off

We have been a dire club the last 2-4 years, no service to strikers and surviving on the rubbish football we've all witnessed - he also fell out with bulet and tried to get him shipped off to league 2.

with service and a decent team around him, he'll score goals, - that is now showing
