Opinions on players performance can change like the weather.

As previously mentioned lots of players have received criticism from people who have never and will never walk in their shoes. That's the life the players have chosen.

The sad part is the personal messages and going out of your way to spend time sending abuse.

I don't think it helped his case to hush the fans. It just raised the stakes and put more pressure on him.... he'd have been better advised to run the length of the pitch with an Adebayor knee slide infront of the fans.

Nothing excuses the abuse. If it's passed the level to where they can be prosecuted, I hope they are.

I personally don’t think he is good enough, BUT I am totally against any personal abuse and he does not deserve this as he does give 100% effort.

Meite really hasn’t helped himself with his schussing antics or not clapping or acknowledging the genuine supporters that is just going to alienate the fans who help pay his wages

However, while criticism is acceptable…personal abuse is not and anyone who sends him private abusive messages are completely out of order

Best all round if he moves on and tries to resurrect his career with another club
