The team produced their best performace against the Jacks on the day of the protest. Now things cool down they go and perform like that. Sorry but excluding Goutas I would drop the rest of them for the next game.

Bloody hell if we protested every week we’d be signing Haaland and Bellingham and be winning the Champions League. Who’d have predicted it would’ve been such a powerful thing? :?

I don't blame Riza much.

More the coaches who took charge of the game and the players for practically giving up.

Well the protest worked didn't it.

F*ck it lets give you something else to have a dig. I say excluding Goutas we drop the rest for the next match and let them share the embarrassment that us true fans are suffering.

Off the back of 8 unbeaten some of the comments here are mental. Haven’t seen people slagging Riza during the last 8 games and against the jacks and now he’s inexperienced again.

Yes it was shocking, we didn’t turn up but let’s not forget this is a premier league side and one of the hardest games of the season.

Everyone’s got a freak result in them. We hit Plymouth for 5 and haven’t done it since. That’s football for you.

Yes it’s frustrating but any manager can lose 7-0 against a better team. Him being inexperienced is nothing to do with it today.

Did it? Tan is still here no? I’d personally attribute the result to having 10k+ extra fans in the stadium backing the team with one of the best atmospheres in the CCS of the past few years (including Wales games).

I agree with you, get the kids and the bench team playing, the league is more important than the cup. I’d go as far as giving Goutas a rest too.

I’ll sell my Stoke ticket for next week shall I? Real fans such as yourself should dictate who’s allowed to be dedicated enough to go to a game like that. I’d offer you it but I assume you’ve got yours already :thumbright:

City made the big mistake of trying to play nice pass out football from the back today at Leeds.
Huge mistake as they are clearly the best at that.
It took the game into their hands.
IMO.2 solid lines of 4 and a bit of hoof ball as much as I hate it would have been a better option.
Keeper was found too many times oif his line in the goals.
Ball watching and at times being another defender rather than between the sticks.
Leeds defended from the front in triangles and our players were contained as they merely copied that as a way to try and break out of this.
Again it failed.
Crosses and long balls to stretch them were needed but we didn't really see any of that today.
Oh well next game it is then.

I didn’t expect us to get anything out of today. Other teams around us have managed to be competitive against Leeds which had given me some hope. However, everything about today has me worried. The team selection, formation and tactics were naive in the extreme. We have a soft underbelly which we saw against Millwall and Derby, and we were somewhat fortunate to get away with it. For the coaching team to go with more or less the same set up, against the best team in the league away from home was madness. We are nowhere near good enough to think we can turn up against Leeds and play the same way. A front four of Robinson, Robertson, El Ghazi and Ashford was never going to work. In the championship, if you want to try and get something out of a game against a team who are clearly far superior, you set up to contain and hopefully exploit any mistakes. We didn’t even attempt to do that and got absolutely pummelled for the whole game. A defeat was expected but a -7 goal difference from today could be costly at the end of the season. I simply don’t understand what we were thinking. Its as though our improve form has gone to Riza’s head. I don’t for one second think Riza lets Tan pick the team as suggested either. I really hope this doesn’t knock the teams confidence. We can ill afford another bad run.

Reason others done reasonably well against them is they parked couple of busses even burnley did..... Leeds fans praised our approach to game as it was more open ok stupid but that's football can get it wrong.....it won't knock confidence why should it we were playing best team in league not worst.....

Losing to Leeds was never gonna define our season .
Nobody thought we would win today against a team that just has everything right at mo.
It's embarrassing for us and the club and the players individually.
We just got to get back to winning ways again and get it out of our system. Yea I'm angry about it but we just gotta get another 90 on the pitch and win again now .
Next game for me in the league has to now be a win after that .
I'm just gonna move on and try and forget otherwise I'll turn more angry and bitter so on to the next one .

Yeah Leeds fans praising us because they stuck 7 pass us ffs.

You say this will not knock my confidence. Well its knock mine because we played the wrong tactics against the best team in the division. That tells me alot about our manager, what other manager would have tried that, none I bet.

No other managers have tried it they simply parked the bus you ask them about burnley a far better team than us doing it and that's why they praised us but no consolation to city fans who went there.
Well it hasn't knocked my confidence simply because we won't face a Leeds again and our form was good coming into this game... Brighton manager got it wrong today as well and he's far better than riza these things happen on occasions even to the best teams.... guess this is payback for humiliating them in cup as we did....

I turned it off at 5-0 and thought well thats that one over a done with, was not expecting anything up there anyway despite past history. When I told my grandson we got stuffed 5-0 he said No it was 7-0  . Tom Ramusat looked totally lost on the side and didn't know which way to look, Riza looked baffled in the stand, Shaw just sat there looking as though it was winter in Norway and Purse didn't really do a lot either. The players on the pitch well what can I say? Goutas looked as though he wanted to be in Greece with Siopsis, Daland was terrible, looked totally beaten after the first goal went in and even worse we made Dan James look like Pele and that bonk eyed tw*t Piroe scored too

Onwards and upwards :bluebird:

So they don’t do this very often indeed:

And by the way Leeds play in the Championship and usually Win by 1,2 or 3 nil.
