Well isn't that calling him a transvestite or similar? If called a player a ladyboy sure it would be deemed offensive an owner is part of football club so while it's doesn't sound much in grand scheme of things nowadays it will be looked at as :transfobia or something

Oh yea I agree in this day and age something like that would get flagged up but as football fans who been following cardiff for so long you become desensitised to chants like that so at the time I didn't really pay any attention to it but when I saw they had been charged that chant came into my mind and I thought it has to be thats what the charge was for

We as fans may not agree with the action but cannot hide from the fact its racist ...and if fa are citing club for it that shows how they view it? So condeming club for bringing it to fa attention is wrong no matter how people feel about tan..like said if aimed at player same action taken end of story..

So why is calling somebody a Ladyboy racist? Tan epitomises the old saying, you can buy clothes but you can’t buy style. I find the thought of him crossdressing quite disturbing. The FA want a sanitised soulless league, their only concern is money.

Mate, The FA have received the complaint from us and have to act, so it’s not them who have started this.
I know mate but my point about the FA stands.

Well yes I get the impression Tan has his lawyers monitoring the message boards. I'm sure he would like to see these message boards shut down over the slightest thing derogative said about him. That's not going to happen, why because most if not all remarks have been like nothing. Its just Tan is an insensitive soul bless him.

The bottom line here guys is the rest of the football world are going to go to town on us over this.

OK what would it be called if you called a player a ladyboy? Racist homophobic?? ... or you saying ladyboy is a nothing thing to call anyone and fa want batter an eye lid over it?? If its a Player or owner or Joe bloggs calling someone ladyboy will be classed under some public order offence no matter what you say or think so fa rightly or wrongly will look at it in that context......

Exactly. Our fans have sung much worse in the past and still do. No team have made a complaint against us.

Seems this is not coming from the club but just the owner, I don't know what he hopes to achieve from it.

It should come as no surprise to him now when we are charged for chants our fans make.

Something about him being a lady boy …..

What a wet society we live in.

OK thanks, I suppose there could be a race link to that, so that will be why, they take more action.

But let’s be honest , who exactly in that ground is getting upset by brizzle fans calling our owner a lady boy ? ….

I’m sure it ruined the match day experience for the thousands of real lady boys who were otherwise transfixed to the exciting goings on of the seven side derby.

When you are a football club owner getting massive insults for one thing or another …..this goes with the territory .
As Cardiff fans we need to look at ourselves then and soon it will be clubs wanting to then complain about us.

Well said.
But I think it’s deemed one of these non crime hate crime things when it relates to LGBTQ+ type of language.
Didn’t Brighton have away clubs warn their fans about “Does your boyfriend?” Songs?

Anyway, for me, it’s go woke go broke.

At end of day if anyone called a Malaysian a ladyboy in public you will be arrested ... call a person
of chinese origin a chink you'll be arrested... so a lot on here are missing the point! We may not agree with tan calling out fans for doing so but that's the nature of him .... like to know difference between this and fans being arrested for making jestures (like aeroplane) words or jestures it's the same according to the law and the FA... but guess that's irrelevant to some people on here

Ok Allan,

Let’s see if you feel the same if our fans start getting charged for their songs.
I see a can of worms being opened.

It’s never happened before in the IK.

It’s not even as if Tan goes to matches and I certainly heard nothing and there was NO social media about it.

Now I see on FB other clubs fans say thst our fans should be watched and arrested for all the songs we sing.

I don’t say it’s right, but where does it end now we’ve opened it up.

We’ve also now fallen out with Bristol over it and soured our relationship as clubs.

Chris I realised afterwards but couldn't edit things..... it seems City staff are responsible for telling BC or FA what was shouted...unfortunately tan and ccfc come as a pair when something happens......and it never rains but pours where city's concerned..
