Yes, no one likes losing matches but it's not all doom and gloom like you're trying to make out.

Personally I'd like to see a new manager in at the end of the season but Riza's doing alright at the minute.

What 4th from bottom of the Championship, 4 wins from 21 league games and crowds dwindling and spent the whole season in the bottom 5, that’s something to be positive about?

If Riza had taken over say in Jan / Feb or March and we were bottom then fair play, but Riza was here in Julybabd took totally over in September.

If that’s our ambition to just about carry up and win a handful of games, then for me and the majority that’s very worrying.

Riza is doing alright at the minute, 3rd worst minus goal average, 2nd worst defence in the Championship, 4 wins from 21 league games and including that 7-1 defeat plus we play games and go out to defend for a point, that’s what you call
Alright? That’s NO Ambition at all.

And the Crowd is the reason it is.

Annis, Bulut was sending us on a one-way ticket to League One. Let's be real. You're forgetting he lost 6 games.

4 wins in 21 yes, but how many valuable points have we got from draws?

We were never turning into a top half team this season. The goal was always to stay up after Bulut got sacked.

If Riza keeps us up, which I believe he will, he's done a good job in my eyes.

We can talk about ambition in May.

So another season goes by achieving Nothing ( 5 yrs) as Crowds Dwindle, Less Season Ticket Holders every year and Revenue Drops, eventually the way Our Club is being run, We will go down.

We were only 6 games in and the goal is to Stay up with 126 points still available

I’m Sorry I can’t read this crap anymore.

I was told this morning less than 12,000 actually attended last night against Burnley that for me says it all end off.

AMBITION IS WHAT FANS WANT & I WOULD SAY 95% WANT THAT AND NOT ANOTHER SEASON OF BULLSHIT.

Is that Riza, Yours , Roath Blue and Tans Ambition to spend a whole season in the Bottom 5, WELL YOUR certainly in the Minority and as you can see the Crowds are not turning up because they certainly don’t want to.

We should not accept that we lose to the clubs near the top.

Sunderland by the way are not that great at home and we should be going there looking for points.

We start of games boring, looking to defend.

Against the Top 4 in 5 games we’ve conceded 20 goals appalling.

Inexperienced manager is the reason.

Nailed it. Division Is poor and we should be looking at points every game. Should have got a point last night, best defence in league looked very shaky at times.

100% Agree

Going in to games expecting to lose, chuffed if we get a point or narrow defeat, UNBELIEVABLE AND SHOCKING:

Over 35 games his ppg would put us in 16th place on 42, exclude the very first Hull game and his ppg over a whole season would put us in joint 14th with 44 points.

Why go back only 21 games? Why not the full 29 he's been in charge for? Why not go back... lets say 13 games? Which is 4 wins, 6 draws and only 3 losses.

The form we're in now is clearly different to the form we were in back in November and December. The turn of the year and new signings has made a significant difference that means comparing us to 15+ games ago isn't possible.

Since the win at Watford on the 29th of December we're joint 11th.

I agree signings have strengthened us as a team. I think they will keep us up as we now have options off the bench. Need to beat Luton, huge game.

Starting with Sunderland:

Ok Sunderland are very very inconsistent at Home, Away is where they’ve done very good:

Sunderland’s Recent Home Record:

Played 5 at Home Won 1.

Lost at Home to Hull recently and Drew at Home to Plymouth:

Surely we should go their attack minded and go for the Win?

Re: “ Very Worrying “

It’s same old Cardiff footie fans.. fickle.. been samar for decades.
As good as our fan base can be it can also be bad.. not helped by matches being on sky
In no way do I think it’s a reflection on Riza.. it’s just the way our fan base is.
For those were there last night there was not a moan at the end, fans could see how second half how well we played and gave it their all.

I hope we've got more ambition next season and sack riza , he's totally out of his depth , these players/squad have quality and we should be a lot higher , a good manager should get this squad in the playoffs .

This is what I mean when I say that Riza can use this season to learn.

He has the right ideas though so we can really push for the top six next season with the right signings and coaches.

Top six has to be the target next season and I believe Riza can get us there.

Well the Crowds don’t believe and they will be less than this if Tans puppet stays:

League Table Does not Lie

Nor do the fans believe in Riza

Crowd 15,713 includes 483 away fans

I believe so many midweek games are killing crowds. I know we can hear if we had man City Liverpool etc mid-week it be full. But 70% of that is the fans who's sat at home watching Liverpool etc on TV on a Saturday now. I haven't been to 1 mid week this season and know a few others who haven't and its not because of riza. But because of work time getting up in mornings. Shit trains getting home etc

Is that what you really think or is that actually what you're hoping for?

Because you are one of a few who seem to be desperate for us to get relegated.

Me and my boys have been home and away virtually every game this season and it hurts me just as much as it does you when we lose, just because my opinion is different to your it doesn't make me any less of a supporter, I've said many times I think it will be very close a point or two either side of the line, I just feel we may come up a little short but would be very happy to be proved wrong

I think it's us and Luton for the last spot I think we will finish on 45 points the game on Tuesday will have a big say win and it will demoralise them but if we lose it could give them the boost they need to catch us
For that to happen, 1 of the teams below us will need to get 7, 8 or 9 points more than us in the remaining 11 games.

Which team do you think will achieve that and how many points will both they and us get?

Re: “ Very Worrying “

Wed Mar 05, 2025 11:29 pm

Very worrying but we need to get behind Riza and the team we have no control it’s all on Tan and the board, like Ali used to say at Ninian Park as the players ran out to chumba wumba I get knocked down , come on support the boys make some noise :ayatollah: :bluebird:

After returning to winning ways with an impressive victory at Sheffield Wednesday last Friday, the Black Cats have a golden opportunity to really hammer home their promotion credentials on home soil over the next week as they prepare to host Cardiff City and Preston North End in quick succession. Not for the first time this season, the home faithful will get behind their side and enhance their reputation as one of the most loyal fanbases in the Championship - but how does Sunderland’s average home attendance compare to their second tier rivals?

24. Oxford United - 11,330 23. Luton Town - 11,484 22. Millwall - 15,076 21. Swansea City - 15,234 20. Queens Park Rangers - 15,554 19. Plymouth Argyle - 16,444 18. Preston North End - 16,534 17.
