Personally I don't think we have quite recovered from the 7-0 hammering at Leeds. We took the game to them and got stuffed on their aggressive attacking spirit. Yes we got praise from the Leeds fans for doing that but it’s a game we are going to get haunted for a many a season.
I'm expecting more of the same today and that is defend defend defend. We do now have that striker who is capable of scoring the goals which will mean we will defend defend defend even more so in the hope our opponents will do less attacking and more focusing on keeping our striker at bay. Borrom line is we will be relying on the breakaway goal just like we did a season or more ago.

The issue we have is we can't defend very well. We have to find a balance otherwise I can see us not getting enough points to steer away from the bottom 3.
Sunderland's recent home form is not great and let's face it, they are not Leeds.
For a start, we need to curtail this playing out from the back and get the ball to the wingers quickly.
If Riza sets us up defensively again like last Tuesday, we'll lose 2 or 3 nil.
Every game now is like a cup final for us. We need to fight for points from minute 1, not start playing when we're a goal or two down.
We have the players to be at least midtable but Riza needs to show more confidence in his players, who are more than capable.

If we go up there to stick 11 men behind the ball then we’ll lose.
Eventually our defence will make an error and concede.
By all means don’t be reckless, but our main strength has been passing quickly, getting it out wide and attacking. We are a threat to any team in this league. Trouble is, we only ever play this way for the final 15 minutes, whilst chasing the game and it’s too little too late.
It might sound simple, but go out and score more than them.

I think we can get ‘
something’ from the game at Sunderland today. As a team, we are better than our position suggests but we keep switching off at crucial times to allow the opposition to score ‘
simple’ goals. I appreciate some blame Omer Riza for his ‘
tinkering’ selections and they have a point, but he cannot account for ‘
silly’ errors from good players
Sunderland are not great at home and at some point the penny will drop and we’ll start gelling more as a ‘
team’ before climbing the table to relative safety
Some tough games across the board for teams in and/or around the relegation places this weekend. Stoke are already two down at Coventry, so anything gained from today will be a big boost
C’mon, you Bluebirds!

Allan, Stoke were more than a little unlucky today and did well to come back from 2-0 down at halftime. Thankfully, Coventry scored the winner with seconds to get all three points and raise the spirits of those struggling teams around them who kick off at 3pm
A good start to the day for us and we look like we’re going to take the game to Sunderland

Come on Bluebirds a Win
