Oops the wife not coming with me as she suffers from fatigue badly and shes not up for it. Secondly she hates football but has no problem with me going. She will stay with our boy . Thanks for the kind regards i will pass on your kind wishes.

Firstly mate, I hope you're joking. Secondly, if you're not, what right do you have to make such comments about another person's child? By all means if you want to take that attitude with your own children then do so but it's a bit shit being derogatory like that to another man's child. I was rubbish at football but still played it. I was also ruled out from a young age at swimming but got to a certain standard.
The important thing is that he enjoys it. If he's good at it, bonus, if not, who f*cking cares?
