Great new messageboard Annis. I picked up your link on facebook, thanks for the invite. Out of your players who you think could be leaving I would think it's one of the lesser players who has a good friendship with Brian Laws. Although you seem frustrated by this loan with a view to a permanent 2/3 year deal hopefully it will be a good restart for the player concerned. He can certaintly score goals and is respected in the game and probably a restart under a different Manager is what he needs. It's not as if he has been able to prove himself at Cardiff City so far.
Annis are you still in touch with Pat these days?

I am glad to hear it was Feeney although there are a couple of others I would like out before him.
He was never given his chance here but I can understand why. It's the best move for the player and doesn't really affect the team.
Nice new message board this is by the way.

I can remember watching him play against Merthyr for us in a pre season friendly, he was dreadful. Don't think its any loss at all. He maybe a nice bloke, but so is my dad, and I wouldn't want him playing upfront for City.

A friendly on a probable poor surface and against a team of shall we say far less experience or techinical ability would probably not be the best areana to form an opinion on a player. Feeney apart from at Cardiff City has a good record of scoring goals and performances both for other Clubs and his Country, In all probability hes either not quite up to top Championship football and more suited to middle/bottom hence his loan period coming up to Sheffield of which he will soon be tested or back to League one which could possibly be his top level and where it may just be where he sees the pinnacle of his football career.
What the biggest suprise is the cost of purchase of the player by Cardiff City and the length of contract he was offered somewhat 3.5 years. Possibly I would have thought on those terms his salary would have been at the lower end of the spectrum and hence the gamble taken on signing him on such terms and cost was counteracted by that factor and many stage payments based on apperances etc to his former club Luton who clearly at the time needed as much immediate funding as possible.

Virtually all his goals have come in the lower league (apart from N.Ireland). One every 3 games on average.
He's no match for Chopra or Mccormack who are his direct competition for the sniffer spot and its better for both the lad himself and the club that he moves on.
Sorry Annis.
