Ninian Park - Heart Soul & closeness to the game - never to be replaced

CCS - excellent facilites wise not just for the players underneath - but the toilets and concourse areas on NInina stand side mean fans mingle without being segragated like the old ground - see something positive :)

They will never swap the Canton n Grange end over - they have done what they wanted and that is stiffle any banter with away fans!

Standing and MNISERABLE BASTARDS in the ground need to be addressed..........................football not tennis - for their to be an atmosphere and for the fans to get behind the players and game - standing and shouting is part of it - always has always will - other wise they may as well just play closed door footie and televise each game!

bloody whingers get right on my t**ts! as do those who dont know rules or players grrrrrrrr lol

I agree with the clocks either end bit crappy got better on me digital clock radio by me bed!!!

I wish they would put a big screen up the grand stand side cos i get neck ache turning round and usually miss whats on anyways

What ever happens sadly there is no going back to Ninain Park so onwards and upwards and hopefully season by season gradully the fans will amalgamate to an area of the ground where they can sing and stand and enjoy

Just have to comment on this as there have been a number of threads on this board about the atmosphere in the new stadium - i loved Ninian Park but when people harp on about the lack of atmosphere at the new stadium have to be honest with the exception of a few games the atmosphere was getting worse in Ninian park over the last few years - there were some games over the last few seasons where i was actually bored watching games and not because it was a crap game but just everything was so passionless. Some of it is also down to the sit down;shut up and give us your money attitude (which i hate with a passion - ask my sons) that comes from the club these days but mainly the lack of atmosphere is not because we are in a new stadium but is just following the gradual downward trend which started at Ninian park. Been watching City since the 70's and a regular since the early 90's and the better atmospheres were when we had smaller crowds (Leeds in the cup being one exception) - guess it will probably never get back to the sort of atmosphere we had before - all things in life things change over time and in this case not for the better.

I agree Steve some of the better atmospheres were with smaller crowds.

NINIAN PARK FOREVER, the new stadium has better facilities but for the atmosphere and intimidation and the memories, Ninian Park will NEVER be beaten.

Breaks my heart seeing them building houses there, and the Canton and Bob Bank still up, perhaps when they are finally demolished i may be able to move on and start to accept the fact we have a new stadium and Ninian Park is gone forever.

each has its pro's and cons
new stadium has better facilities, is much bigger, looks far more impressive, and is what we need to progress into the premiership,
the old stadium had character, a better atmosphere and was far more intimidating to away teams.
but i have to say i now like the new stadium its just a pity the seating cant be re arranged to create a better atmosphere .
