sorry but I disagree. If these others did not exist Chelsea would have gad no reason to have a go. This site has done nothing but glorify it. The only effect it has is to enforce a negative reputation and make away trips even more problematic for the likes of you and I. That is the point I am trying to make.

Very good post,I agree with more or less everything you say, the hooligan threads on this forum are pathetic tbh, but having said that there are a lot of good threads on this forum also.

If these others did not exist then the Chelsea morons would have laid into us resulting in women and children getting hurt. I saw the hate in these Chelsea eyes and they were ready and waiting to attack. They just wanted the smallest of excuses and would have found one.

So what you are saying is that if all of us ignored them they would not have attacked us. Well sorry but I just dont buy that.

Robbie S, please if you weren't there then be quiet will you.

As much as you mate hate it hooliganism is part of the game, not as much as it used to be however.

I can fully understand why some people love this fighting side of the game, I experienced it once at one of my only three away games I've been to which for some reason I chose Stoke. It was quite bad and I was full of adrenaline as if I was on a battlefield, its nothing serious unless someone gets seriously hurt, other than that its just a playground brawl!

Films like Green Street, Football Factory and I.D have just shown the bad side of this and you've obviously been influenced to much by those shitty films messages and values. Chill out a bit, people on here like Annis like this sort of stuff and I don't blame them, I'm sure its hilarious seeing a bunch of Chelsea fans run away scared!

Re: This site

your right matey, people like him are just cowards, rather run than throw/take a punch and will always look over thier shoulder through life, will always amount to nothing

It was a mad weekend, cheslea is over now, its not gonna happen, it will slowey go back to being all football etc again, just chill and relax , just gotta except that its always been apart of football and somone people enjoyed it back in the day, while others liked to run and cry then come onto message boards to moan

Bakedalasker wrote:RobbieS, I was not going to get involved on this subject again tonight but you have pissed me off. Anyway let me ask you one question. Let me put you in the scenario I found myself in.

I was with a few friends and their kids. We came out of the ground and followed instructions. That is go left. To my surprise we found ourselves literally right next to these so called Chelsea supporters. I saw literally every wrinkle on their faces and they were posessed. They had one intention and it did not take much to work out. Before we knew it they were climbing over the barriers and coming for us. There were no police about.

I wont tell you what happened next but you tell me, what would have you done?

I was in the same place as you. Do you know what I did? I walked as far away as I could. And I was with my family so don't give me that they were attacking women and kids. Cos they weren't

Bollocks. There were kids right at the front and they attacked.

TBH mate you have changed your story completely now. So the kids weren't attacked instead they were in the vicinity of a mini riot as you made your escape?

That is completely different from your original insinuation that Chelsea wanted to attack youngsters because they were easy targets.

What actually happened if you look at it from a proper perspective is that 2 hooligan groups went ‘toe to toe’ and it had nothing to do with attacks on children. This kind of crap always crops up, if it’s not kids it is the elderly, women or disabled, depending on who is telling the story.

RobbieS has made a valid point about glorifying hooliganism and trying to make out that a punch up between to mental gangs was anything more than just that is frankly pathetic.

Sorry could you please explain what 'battlefield' you have ever been involved in? If not then I can tell you active service is a million miles away from attending a football match and if you don't know that then may be it's you who should be quite.

I have not changed my story. Indeed the kids were attacked. I know I saw it. We managed to get the kids away becuase some of our fans stood up against the attackers.

I'm all against hooliganism. In the early days of the 80s I suffered from our own hooligan element. I'm just as against it as most but I realise when there is a time where you have to make a stand.

I'm just pissed off with some users on here who are blatantly blaming some of our fans as hooligans because they stood their ground therefore allowing us safeguard our kids.

Hooliganism is part of Football culture, and like most cultures some like them some hate them, I would hardly call this board a hooligans board as the majority of posts are football related (some very good foootball debates have been on here minus the sniping and personal attacks that take place on some other boards, rather than attack a person it is discussed here).

As said its part of the culture for some, a part i accept as football. Some live for the 90 minutes some live it for more.

The fact is this isnt a hoolie board, its a football board, predominantly about Cardiff City fans,If city fans came udner attack at a game or gave some back then yes I read about it always have done always will do but have to disagree with the original point ths board is far fro a hoolie board.

I AM NOT A HOOLIE
BUT THIS IS A GOOD FORUM
I wasnt there due to work, however if I was, i would have gotten out of there its not for me, however I would have stood up, defended fought back  and helped best I could if fellow Bluebirds were in strife, and thats just like any situation when youre out at weekends and your mates in trouble with another gang, adrenelin and loyalty take over. Users of this board are obviously going to post about their experiences at the games, I grinned when I read about Chelsea running, thought it was great but, only because they were there waiting outside the ground waiting for a ruck, (does that make me a hoolie!? :D ) I have switched here from CCMB (much as I liked the non football banter) as I always found Annis' posts very up to date passionate and informative about the City roller coaster ride coming from CCS, as it effects all Bluebirds. The other reason I switched was due to the slowness of their site. Only in the last 2 weeks have I really read hooligan related posts on here because it has kicked off last 2 away days, most of the time its good stuff about CARDIFF CITY FC. Its like the telly, if you dont like it turn it over, dont write a letter to Anne Robinson and complain about it!

Re: This site

Mon Feb 15, 2010 10:19 am

Hooligans can do what they want so long as they keep it between themselves and it doesn't affect us genuine fans. I got annoyed on Saturday because it hampered my efforts in leaving the stadium. That's why I got frustrated with it. I don't give a shit. If those lot want to batter each other, let them do it. It should be more like they do it abroad though. Arrange a meeting place in a local park or space and just go for it there. Random jumpings in crowded areas filled by innocent fans is pathetic and pointless.

I've seen the odd attempt on here to glorify it but it's been the minority. This site isn't massively filled with hooligans but sadly sometimes the minority voice is the loudest one heard.

I hope hooliganism doesn't return and I think someone said it perfectly in another thread by saying on Saturday that the trouble was 'there if you wanted it'. I was with my mum and brother so became wary but made sure we stayed clear. I did feel though that it was very close to getting out of hand and it was very stupid behaviour by a minority.

FFS these days theres more arrests in towns and city's of drunken people brawling after pubs/clubs shut than anything like arrests at football for violence.

There will always be an element and thats that!

as said above its the culture, cultures seems to uprise now and then.

anyway can we move on its old news now c'mon city lets give the baggies a good f*cking hiding at CCS tomorrow!
