what was your first ever car to own?

I had a 1981 Ford Cortina 1.6 GL and I paid £1,600 for it, which was a lot of money back in 1987. It was silver with a black vinyl roof, bright silver wheel trim thingys, 2 front fogs and the driving lights on the front grille. I thought it was the nuts at the time, it was great for sliding the back out coming out of bends and roundabouts but I got a bit keen on doing that and it spun off the road. My Dad paid for me to get it fixed but a few months later I wrote it off again and ended up selling it for £50 quid scrap 6 months after I bought it! Mind you, I bought a black phase 2 Renault 5 GT Turbo a few months after that, shortly after they came out, and that went like shit off a shovel. I sold that 5 years after buying it and it blew up on the bloke I sold it to before he even got home. I felt quite guilty about that though

Here is my first car !! this is an image from google, mine was terracotta colour with go fast racing stripes I stuck on the front LOL and my old mans 1958 AA road badge which surprisingly didnt get nicked !! I had mine in 1989 I think the model was originally 1983 !!!
