having kids changed me but the biggest thing was the night cardiff lost to portsmouth in the fa cup final, this was the night i had the call all parents dread, "your son has been involved in a motorcycle accident" as a result he spent over six weeks in critical car and over a year in rookwood hospital, he was told he would never move his legs again, i visited every night after work and every weekend, at one point my son said "dad if i end up in a wheelchair please kill me"
i watched everyday as my boy refused to believe he would not walk and after 6 months moved his foot an inch, his attitude was "impossible is nothing" he now lives on his own he drives an adapted car, he still uses a wheelchair but can walk short distances on crutches and improves daily, he is also on the G.B squad for table tennis,
he made me realise how much i love my kids, realise how nothing is impossible and realise how a dissability does not mean the end of the world.
