I totally agree with you, the club rang Carl and asked him to put the above out. Personally I feel Carl is in a no win situation. I still feel the Club should take some responsibility as they have allowed this company to charge every fan about £5 in charges.

Are the company (Ticket Master)going to compensate our fans ?

Tried online this morning and it was fudged, so took a chance and went down the stadium, but they started refusing people about 20 mins before I got there  , even though there was only around ten people outside the ticket office trying to get in, some people getting quite annoyed with the stewards, kinda felt sorry for the shit they had to put up with, there only doing what there told at the end of the day, but I think maybe they should have had a few more counters open down there especially if they new the site was down, they should have expected a mad rush. Anyway, up early in the morning and try again :ayatollah: :ayatollah: :ayatollah: , is there anyway of knowing what's been sold and what's still available, I'm not arsed were I'm sat, as long as I'm there and my boy is able to sit next to me. All this talk about them not checking fan numbers at the stadium today got me a bit worried.

;) :) :) ;)
Please accept my apologies for using bad language earlier on, but that guy,s post made me mad, I would like to thank some of the people who showed some understanding, in order for him to go I have now purchased a ticket in the next block, but I know all I will do is to keep looking over for him. I will go down the ticket office tomorrow and see if I can change them for two together.

CORRECT...............CCFC always have ticket problems for the big games.....a lot of preffered snouts in the trough I reckon :old: ,and lots of tickets snaffled up before they go on sale to the proper fans :laughing2:

El Jeffe.

I have certain feeling and my own reasons for some of the things I think about
the ticket distribution but at the same time looking back I can see that my
comments were harsh, unthoughtfull and uncalled for and for that I appologise.

I hope you both have a great day and he goes onto become a life long Cardiff fan.

Going forward I am going to give all ticket threads a wide berth as my opinions
are obviously contreversial and not shared by the majority.

Once again, sorry for any offence, it was never personal.

How can the club put a statement out stating that the e ticketing would be up and running again at 3.30 when it is still not working at 17.20.?

I don't believe the queues down the stadium were anything to do with the Ticketmaster problems they were already huge before 10 o'clock when the phone and website went on line ;)

Sorry but what has the park and ride got to do with being turned away for a ticket?

As I was turned away whilst in my car stating no more people allowed in as there were no parking spaces left

Brings back memories of "the golden toicket fiasco and play off finals" the club couldn't organise a piss up
in a brewery. People travelled from far and wide to get to stadium to get their tickets
then being turned away as the queues were too, big cause they couldn't get two tickets on ticketline is disgracefull.
Haven't they heard of overtime down there.I hope TG and VT here about this. As for the club taken no blame for ticketlines cock up, who gave the job to them in the 1st place, they fucked up the olympics tickets an all.

Just some info guys. I arrived at the stadium at 6.30 and there were probably 1000 in front of me. By 8 ish the que. behind me was around the stadium to the away supporters entrance. From about 50people behind me they then put everyone inside to Que we stayed outside and were told that nobody inside would be served before us, which in fairness was correct as when I was purchasing my ticket under the canton stand everyone that was behind me outside were still under the stand behind the barrier waiting. The club totally under estimated the amount of people who would turn up. There were thousands of people well before the e ticket shambles. When I left the stadium at 11.30 there was nobody outside, this gave a false impression to people arriving at that time that may have been turned away as they would not have seen the 3000 or so inside

It,s no good CCFC not taking responsibility for the on line ticketing fiasco. They were happy to take the money from over 8000 season ticket holders by promising us two tickets each but could not organise through ticketmaster a system to cope with it.
Remember the Risdale offer, CCFC have got past form in taking our money early and not delivering.

For info:

Bought 5 tickets on line but unable to get the renewal extras (after 4).

Just managed to get through on the phone, and it seems that those of us that have bought online but still want/need/desire the extra renewal tickets have to contact the club direct tomorrow morning after 9am.

Might save a few people wasting more time tonight

Been a long day.....

Success!

I just bought 2 tickets - mine and the extra one I am entitled to for renewing - about 5minutes ago (7.05pm)

I had tried this morning but it wouldn't let me buy 2.

I don't know whether it was coincidence, but I noticed when I was logging in to my account it was coming up in my son's name, and not mine.(and he only has a stadium card!) I don't know why, because I have successfully bought tickets online before with the same login.

Just check your details are coming up correctly with the right fan number.

Down stadium today they were writing down the season ticket numbers as people ordered.
They had no way of checking who had renewed and who had not.
That annoyed me as i renewed to get my extras.
Anyway a guy then told me that the guy in his queue was getting fifteen tickets for season ticket holders who had not renewed, but he was able to get 30 as no one checked.
I would hate for a season ticket holder not to get what they deserve if others are doing this.

:o That's shocking, I renewed mine and my daughter's season ticket so I could get 2 extra tickets, one for my eldest brother and the other for my youngest daughter and I also bought a new season ticket for my wife, I will be extremely pissed off if I find out this is true coz I wouldn't have had to renew so early if I knew that I'd be able to get the extra tickets anyway, absolutely shocking :o

Thank you Milleronthehalfwayline, for taking the time to apologise, I sometimes say things in a way I don't mean so you are not on your own, it's been a very frustrating day, word of advice from an old feller, don't stop writing on the messageboard, just give it a lot of thought before you put it into words. You have a good day too, and just hope it's the bluebirds that win it.

I stand by my earlier thoughts Carl. Not personal, but my view is that you have become instationalised to CCFC!

Your travel club maybe 'alright', but thousand's of true city supporters have been left on their own..split from friends & family... and yes, they are entitled to tickets!

The management has been pathetic, to be polite.

SHAME ON YOU!

These comments are without policitical bias, just an honest independent supporters view, trying to buy a ticket, which has cost me personally due to the incompetance of others!

Re: LATEST ON CARLING CUP FINAL TICKETS

Sun Feb 12, 2012 10:36 pm

I'll repeat...responsibility & liability are very different!

You guys in travel clubs, no offence, but you havent experienced the frustration of independence!

This error has cost me personally £100+. Where do I send my compensation invoice?

Re: LATEST ON CARLING CUP FINAL TICKETS

Mon Feb 13, 2012 7:39 am

The problem is improved but it is still not resolved completely!
My son and I are both early ST renewers so we wanted to get 4 tickets, next to each other, so my wife and young daughter could come with us. Should have been easy as per the club's offer!
Only got to buy tickets for my lad and I yesterday due to the well-known problem and was told to ring back later if I wanted the two extra tickets - no offer of a ring back for me.
Even when the club/forum was reporting that the problem was resolved e-ticketing would not let me buy the two extra tickets.
Rang Ticketmaster at 0650 this morning and was told that I could now buy the additional two tickets but it had to be done in two separate transactions! Their agent could not guarantee that they would be next to each other but thankfully we managed to do it because it was early and quiet (but they are now 23 rows away from the first two) and to add insult to injury I was charged two separate postage fees of £5 for each ticket!
I've now paid three postage charges and will be looking for the club to refund two of these as the contractual responsibility sits with them, not Ticketmaster. They made an offer of services which I accepted and paid for, yet I subsequently incur additional charges due to either their error or the error of whom they chose to sub-contract the service to.
Ticket office here I come but I'm not expecting a quick resolution!
Rant over.
