what are you try to prove annis, when he knew it was going to be asked tghere was no need for him to say that he could have voted for ridsdale and told people the reason afterwards it sounds like he was trying to make himself look big my views anyway.

Sorry I didn't make myself clear.

What I meant was that hopefully people will get the chance to realise they are wrong if Borley leads us out of this mess ( the post I quoted )

If Borley can help negotiate the Malaysians investment/takeover, hopefully people will change their minds

Even if Borley does save the day by bringing the Malaysians on board he was still WRONG to stab Annis in the back the way he did.

I can have no respect whatsoever for conduct like that no matter what an individual brings to the table.

It's still not clear that was said/understood between the two of them.

Borley was aware that Annis would call for a vote of no confidence,

Annis knows Borley would like to get rid of Ridsdale

But, as a few others have mentioned there's a big difference between wanting someone to leave and backing the vote of no confidence. Borley knew even if he did back it, he would be outnumbered anyway. Where would that leave him with regards to the board?

We have Annis version of events and I have no doubt he is telling the truth, so we do have an idea what was said and what understanding their was between them.

There is also the matter of Borley trying to belittle Annis and that has been reported by several witnesses, there was certainly no need for that.

We will never know where backing Annis would have left Borley with the rest of the board, but we do know where stabbing Annis in the back has left Borley with the vast majority of the fan base.

Regardless of what he tells you privately (and I'm sure he's as sick of Ridsdale as the rest of us) he's not going to commit public suicide. If he had said he didn't back Ridsdale, he would have had to resign himself (unless Guy and the rest of major shareholders backed his stance). If he'd done what you wanted him to do, the rest of them would have hung him out to dry and we'd have lost the only decent man and City fan on the current board.

Please, everyone, don't start an anti-Borley witchhunt. He's in an impossible position and I'm sure he's doing his best, not for himself but for the club we all love.

Let's not have another personal feud between us either, Annis. I know you want the best for the City 100% but I think you got it wrong today.

DECENT MAN????????????????? HE'S A tw*t!!!!!! MY OPINION IF HE DIDNT HAVE THE GUTS THEN KEEP HIS MOUTH SHUT!!!!

I do feel sorry for you, and know I would be feeling bitter if I was in the same situation..

But, there's a difference between what Borley has said to you and backing you with the vote of no confidence.
Unless any of the other main shareholders/board agreed with you ( I'm not sure what happened with the others ) it would have been Borley on his own. Would Ridsdale want Borley on board if that was the case?
I can't imagine that would do any favours to the Malaysians case, if there are any Malaysians.
It's not as if we have much alternative at the moment, other than sticking with Borley and hoping he can get the Malaysians on board, and the rest of the board out
