Personally I dont think you'll ever see City fans all united under one banner, thats not knocking the work of the trust or the supporters club, its just the City has a broad range of fans from different areas, different ideas of how to supoport the club and just looking at the history of City fans I dont see the fans ever have a united front.

The old man Saturday shouting down those who were on the march showed that to me, the guy couldnt even hush his mouth and respect our choice as fellow City fans.

I am a Trust member who went on the march , never once was my opinion ever ask of either from anyone on the Trust and neither was I influnced one way or the other by the Trust . I joined theTrust on good faith that they can work hand in hand alongside the board of CCFC and hopefully my money paid in will go towards more shares , however I know their percentage is a tiny drop in the ocean compared to the others . As for the voting of future Trust officers then thats up to them or indeed any indiciduals who want to step forward aint it ? :ayatollah:

Trust representatives have fully explained themselves.

Having thought about their reasons I still don't agree they handled the matter correctly and further believe they missed a huge opportunity to bring everyone together under the same aim; a mass showing of discontent in the way the board of directors are running the club. If they had officially backed that aim it would have been a massive set forward.

The problem now is they want members like me to have a leap of faith in their strategy of long term communication with the club, even though at first sight it appears that will achieve nothing.

However, as they failed to show the same faith in the protest march which I and many others passionately believed in it is hard to now back them, even if my instincts tell me to.

This is a situation which could have been avoided and it is just a shame that both sides didn't recognise they had more in common than they thought and concentrated on that rather than any differences.

However, you do have a point Martyn the Trust Board needs help and maybe we need to come forward and help them, even if it is just organising more canvassing of the membership to find out exactly how they feel on important issues.

The only way that anysort of transparacy will be achieved is that the Board of Directors at CCFC allow a nominated Trust Committee person to sit in on all board meetings in a purely non exeutive and observational role but at the same time be discreet with any sensitive issues ............ cant see that ever happening in a million years tbh ? :ayatollah:

I am still disappointed the trust did not vote to go on the march but instead of me loosing faith with the trust I believe all 2000 who marched should join the trust. We should then urge all the supporters club members to join. I believe this number would be about 3000. The known and not so well know leaders would come to the fore, they could form the representation of the trust which in turn would decide action and put to the membership for vote. I fully believe the majority want action, and this way we would get it.

So, to answer the initial question, absolutely yes........

...and from another Haydn, the word unite should apply to all facets of the fanbase, including the various messageboards. If people grew up a bit and stopped all this "the other message board this, the other message board that" we'd be a lot better for it. The strongest element of this club is the fans, and now is the time to prove it.

Maybe Carl ?
Maybe Gwyn ?

Then rejoim your membership and stand for election to the Trust board (Gwyn and Carl are still members aren`t they)and put ypurself up for election.to the board.

it is fully democratic and the vote count is independently overseen by Leighton Andrews AM How many voyes each candidate receives is then published.
