this is why i havent joined the trust.

im surprised at the the need to bring out a statement

im surprised at the ccsc's backing of such a statement

im surprised that they labelled it a 'statement'

for this reads as nothing more than a diplomatic news report you would find in a local rag

Re: Joint Statement From CCSC and CCST

I welcome a statement like this but only when the timing is right and this statement may have had an affect months ago but it wont do anything now.

Now is the time for action and I wish the trust and supporters club backed the demonstration last saturday when they had the chance, even though the demo was a huge success it was an oppurtunity for us to unite and you both failed to do it.

3.....statement....would announcement suffice?
4.... news report.....youd prefer a bomb warning?

If their you're reasons for not joining then what will you do ?

I fully agree a statement like this should have been made back in January when the Golden Ticket Scam first came to light, unfortunatley those at the head of the Trust have shown poor judgement and have failed to make the right call at the right time.

And given the Supporters club exists to do what - organise away travel and that's basically it?

What next? Should we go down the pan, will the trust issue a statement in their disappointment at the board and wish Ridders good luck in his future endeavours?

Maybe the Trust's apathy has more to do with admin being the only way they'll get shares, representation on the board?

1. the same esp powers that forsees new income streams that pr has been spouting for months? oh, that haven't materialised?

or the same esp powers that pr used when ben steele came to town

2. because there's nothing concrete in there that shows the strength of either parties

3. If your going to be clever, please try it somewhere where your lack of intelligence would be accepted. Try Swansea, the Cardiff City boardroom or a nursery.

4. No I wouldn't. Another random post. I dont go into mcdonalds where you work and complain that there's no cheeseburgers left, to be told sarcastically "would you prefer a headbutt"

"If their you're reasons for not joining then what will you do ?"

My reasons, as i'm not sure what your referring to, for not joining the trust are simple

They release statements in the form of a news report containing information I have been privvy to from typing in the following websites into my browser

http://www.annisabraham.co.uk
http://www.ccmb.co.uk
http://www.walesonline.co.uk

and there's me expecting an organisation you have to pay to be part of to release something in support of either side

except (as i know you enjoy sarcasm you little tyke), i shall look forward to the trust sending out t shirts saying "my sister/brother/dog logged onto this website and all i got was this lousy 'statement'

I hope these answered your pitifull attempt at humour mr ridsdale. now please tell me what your having for lunch on your humble pie, tomato sauce or mustard?

Cheers

run him out of wales and never let the fucker back....

As for TLG's post. I was first to say it was shit, and the more I think about it, the more shit I think it really is.

Re: Joint Statement From CCSC and CCST

Fri Mar 12, 2010 10:10 pm

Its alright making statements but they will be ignored by the board
taking positive action is the only way to get results and the trust and ccfc say what if any action they intend to take
my advice is to join in with all of us who support annis and buy your scarf and tshirt and wear them with the great feeling that you say you have for cardiff city
join us in our next march and wave your flags and let Ridders know that it is all the city fans that want action
let us see over 10,000 marching
we want our club back and RIDDERS AND THE REST OF THE BOARD OUT

Re: Joint Statement From CCSC and CCST

I haven't seen any comments from TLG telling people not to go on the march, of his comments that I've seen he said he didn't personally see the point of marching and it was up to people to make their own mind up if they wanted to march. He wasn't giving the trusts opinion, just his own and whats wrong with that?
I think this slagging off of TLG is bang out of order to be honest. I think a lot of people on this site need to take a good look at themselves.

TLG thought the march was futile, which is his opinion but there was a call for the trust to do something and there was an oppurtunity there for the trust to support the march but if the trust committee didnt want to make that decision on behalf of it's members then it should have been put to a vote of it's members.

But the trust committee didnt do that. WHY ?

Is it because a member of the committee didnt agree with the march ?

Re: Joint Statement From CCSC and CCST

I agree with the majority here. Too late and too political. The trust in its current state is a SHAMBLES. Time after time, throughout the history of this club, the supporters have been "represented" by the political minority. Nerd is right. The Trust is representing its members and nothing more than that. And even then it's flawed because they don't actively poll the membership. They ask people to email!! Way to build a manifesto guys. It's a mess and some people wanna take a long hard look at themselves and realise this isn't a political game. It's the imminent DEATH of OUR club.

The Lone Gunman wrote:JOINT STATEMENT FROM THE CARDIFF CITY SUPPORTERS' CLUB AND SUPPORTERS' TRUST

The supporters of Cardiff City were relieved to hear the club has been given a further 56 days by the High Court to clear its outstanding tax debts. However, fans were also alarmed to hear the Bluebirds described as "plainly insolvent" by the barrister representing Her Majesty's Revenue and Customs.

It is obvious that our football club is in a wretched financial state and yet there appears to have been none of the drastic cost-cutting measures we have seen at other clubs who have encountered similar problems. Instead, it seems the only remedies being offered by the Cardiff City board are hopes of substantial foreign investment or promotion to the Premiership.

Given the club's perilous position and our team's poor recent form, both solutions seem wildly optimistic. Consequently, these are very worrying times for Bluebirds fans.

Despite the club's increasingly desperate plight, its management and players have continued to collect their hefty wages, and there are suggestions that some of the major shareholders have ensured monies owing to them have been paid ahead of those owed to HMRC.

Meanwhile, supporters have been asked to dip into their pockets time and again, and they have done so. Within the space of the last twelve months, the club has benefited from record season ticket sales and its highest attendance levels since the early-Seventies, so the fans have clearly been playing their part.

At present, the feeling amongst the Bluebirds' support is that we are being badly let down by those who are in control of our club. We were led to believe the move to our new stadium was the dawn of a bright new era, but in recent months it has been developing into a nightmare and there are genuine fears that things will go from bad to worse in the near future.
The board of directors and major shareholders are the custodians of our proud football club and, as such, they have a very clear duty to safeguard its future. We therefore hope they acknowledge their responsibilities and start to act accordingly.

On behalf of Cardiff City's thousands of loyal supporters, we hereby call upon the directors, shareholders, management and players to set aside their personal interests and do what is right by our beloved football club during the critical weeks ahead.

What a load of waffling shite. Might just as well have written:

"We're not very happy with the situation, please rectify it, if you dont mind

sorry to bother you, Mr Ridsdale

Best Regards,

The Trust"

As someone has posted above, its time to get in Ridsdales face where he lives, posters all over
his gaff, protesters outside his gate. Welsh TV and media pre-warned as to the particulars.

Ridsdale has taken the piss on our manor (NP & CCS) for too long, time to take the fight to his back yard!!!

:? That is extremely warped thinking.

I would lean more to the theory the Trust has to prove is worth joining before anyone can let it down by not doing so.

I should have been clearer with my point. I was replying to the accusation that The Trust had "let Thousands of City fans down". Well only around 900 fans currently contribute to The trust, so the trust is only answerable to those, not "The thousands" that have bought next years season tickets. If those thousands had paid into the Trust, then maybe it would have been a fair comment to debate, but they haven't, so the Trust hasn't let them down.
