Once 90% of shares are held by one holder then that person/organisation can make a complusary purchase of the rest.
Any way f**king great news and an astute business man like TG wouldn't be getting involved with a bankrupt club unless there was more substancial investment to come.
yeah i think that's correct. i remember there was a big feature on SSN about it regarding the situation at Arsenal with Usmanov/Kronke/Dein etc

Peter Ridsdale is ready to accept the offer himself and resign from the board too.
IF the Malaysians do not come through with their offer Peter Ridsdale will leave by the end of the month, he has had enough of the pressure.
This story will run in tomorrows news and media outlets.
Borley was going to Malaysia to go with the ' drag on ' option, so even if Ridsdale didnt accept the offer then 51% of the shareholders would have forced the sale anyhow.
BUT WE DO NOT STOP WITH OUR PROTESTS AND DEMONSTRATIONS UNTIL HE HAS GONE, WE KEEP UP THE PRESSURE.

I think it can vary from company to company though. It will all be documented in the articles/memorandum though, but I'm not sure whether it would be the same in our case

So do we know if it's an investment or a takeover?
If they are offering 9p per share, and are trying to get Ridsdale to agree it sounds more like a takeover than just purchasing someone else's shares. Who's shares would he buy if it was just an investment, or would it be a new issue?
If they're looking at the drag along option, I'm sure that normally is for takeovers meaning that once 51% agree to a price it also applies to the other shareholders. I'm not sure whether the drag along is a tool used for buying an individuals shares

I am sure we will all know soon enough, I cant add anything to what I have said otherwise I will be making it up, I can only say what I was told but I am trying to get more answers to the questions.

I'm hoping that these Malaysians intend taking over the club sooner rather than later and putting it
on a sound financial footing. Why on earth would they put far more money in than anyone else on the
board and sit there watching the same old faces make the same old mistakes
As for a substantial pay-off for the Diddler, f*ck him, he'll get a decent wedge out of his shares, the
only saving grace is, it sounds like a 1/4 of what he had hoped for!!
I'm not a business brain, this just appears common sense to me!!
