1-0 Germany.

VAR gave it for an Andersen handball.

What a joke penalty for handball his arm is in natural position doesn't move and they had to use snick ometer to know if touched hand pathetic

Unfortunately it's not Oliver it's uefa and their stupid use of technology and ifabs rules on handball? If got to use snickometer to know if its handball football is dead as the beautiful game.....

Agree. Germany very lucky.

Since when is ball hitting hand which it was constitutes deliberate handball? Commentators said eufa need to go back to classroom sit down and rip up handball rule for whole pitch not just for VAR...
Premier league its no penalty as didn't meet criteria they use....

2-0 Germany.

Musiala.

VAR has ruined this game for me, pretty soon we'll be going back to the kick off to check if a player had been offside at any stage in the build up, just like rugby now.

FT: Germany 2-0 Denmark

Denmark have every right to feel aggrieved.

Germany are in the quarter finals and will play Spain or Georgia.

Denmark have been totally robbed of a quarter final place , SHOCKING

The woman who does analysis of decisions plainly said Oliver had no choice but to give handball once the var said it was handball even though he reviewed it himself! No matter why or how ball hits the hand it's a penalty if kicked by opponent unless ball hits your body 1st that
is ifabs rule so why did Oliver go to monitor if he couldn't change var decision? As for the offside goal it literally was his toe...... when asked how did they know when ball was kicked she said they use 15 parts of body to insure they know precisely when ball is kicked so it's 100% accurate using automated offside according to ifab..
This looks like there will always be poor decisions made because technology and var make all the decisions the ref is just a mouthpeace to blow whistle such a sad state of affairs.

Ange Postecoglu was spot on with what he said on ITV tonight.

He said the problem was that it wasn’t really Michael Oliver’s decision and it never is, because they always go with what VAR tell them to do when they go to the screen. He said that’s always been his issue with VAR.

He also said if he hears one more person saying they’re not re-refereeing the game then he’s going to lose his temper because that’s exactly what they’re doing.

Totally agree with him.

He was spot on and like said that woman confirmed the game is being re-refereed by technology and var so question is whats the match official there for?? Really fifa/uefa along with ifab are ruining football to such an extent the enjoyment will be taken away for both players and fans...

England lucky not be losing early on.
