Finish 2nd in the cup and you won fack all. FACT.
Burrows won us promotion twice by the way.
No its not we didnt win promotion as it was 2nd place accoring to good looking fella if you come 2nd in the cup it should matter thats why people only remembers the winners of cups not 2nd place, i dont expect him to grasp it
Sorry guys for the delay ...but I had a funneral to attend
and yes I do fully understand that winning promotion and losing the cup finals are not of the same importance as we actualy achieved promotion and in losing the cup finals we achieved nothing ....I hope we agree on that ??
But your original comment you dont get remembered for being 2nd , but you proved yourself wrong by mentioning our promotion whilest finnishing 2nd ......so you remembered surely you can see what I,m saying ????

He's got no hair but we don't care, Alan Alan Cork

Why no Jimmy Andrews? Managed a promotion winning team in 75/76. Signed Robin Friday. Was manager when we beat Tottenham in the FA Cup (when the cup still meant something). Surely deserves to be included in the survey?

Scoular for me, had no money & done wonders on a threadbare team. Next would be Jimmy Andrews followed Dave Jones, Frankie Burrows & Eddie May.

Cheers Gavin.
Mine without a doubt Eddie May, loved every minute of Eddie being our manager.
Ive seen Cardiff managers right back to 1972, but under Eddie, no one compared with the buzz he gave us fans.
agree with this... the main reason why i started following back in the early 1990's, never forget the man city game!

Went for DJ myself, had some great times while he was here.
Was going to go with LL purely for the play off final, or Burrows as he was the first manager I properly remember. Can't really see how people can say MM is our greatest ever when's he's only been here 18 months! Yeah the league cup final was great but come on! He may well go on to be but how can you honestly say someone who's been at 114 year old club for 18 months is greatest is beyond me!
