Any chance of a separate forum for people who just want to talk purely about the football?

What a wacky idea!!!!

I totally know what you mean, got back after the game to read threads about the half time entertainment.
You wouldn't believe it was the same day as a big derby and a huge game.

Most people were in the bar or the pisser anyway.
I'm sure some of our fans just look for something to moan about. I couldn't care less what the club do at half time, that's not what I go to the game for, it didnt effect my day in the very slightest. Just like being offered a free scarf won't change my evening out on Tuesday.

If half time entertainment and being offered a free scarf is really effecting peoples match day experience that much then maybe some people need to evaluate if they really want to go at all.

If you say so Jack

:laughing6:

I certainly do say so. Passing was incoherent, slow and nowhere near clinical enough and it showed in the scoreline. That was an awful Bristol city side who were unlucky not to come away with a draw, it was another one goal victory at home against a side that will probably be in league 1 in 3 months time.

Clueless about football too I see. Ten men packed behind the ball are very difficult to
break down. Its to do with space you see. If ten opposing players are packed in the final
third and you add to that (say) six Cardiff players... it makes it rather awkward to get
those telling passes or shots off. There (of course) could be a tendency to rush things
and play "hoof the ball into the box"... but people who understand the game also know
that its important to try and drag a few defenders out. Thats why we played the ball
square across the middle or sometimes backwards. Draw them out, hopefully make space
for our strikers to nip in behind them just like erm.... oh, i dont know,... our first goal??

I'm not posting this in YOUR condescending manner to make you look like an idiot by the way...

The damage was already done!

So again you agree with me. I didnt even mention why it wasn't pretty to watch I just said that it was poor passing and incoherent - which it was.

Play like that in the prem and get punished. Just saying it his it is. Sorry if you feel patronised its not my intention.

I was watching it online.

And if you think that was outstanding then you are in for a rude awakening.

God you really are dull, and your not even doing it deliberately are you

Where on earth do i say it "wasnt pretty".

Anyone who understands football could see we had to show a lot of patience. Our
passing was first rate, we had a phenomenal amount of shots on goal, Heaton
was superb. Barcelona play lots of football across the middle, they are not scared
to hold onto the ball. Same again, they will wait and try drag defenders out. We
are not Barcelona, but for people who understand the game, the principle is the
same. When we get to the Premiership, just like every other team that ever gets
promoted, we will strengthen. But guess what... against packed defences...the
principle remains the same.

Silly boy.

Wherev in the U.S. are you. Kansas?

Outskirts of Chicago.

I think you are full of it.
My wife's cousins live in Chicago, and I have some friends there.
What suburb do you live in?

If we get to the Premier league, and teams come to us and set up like Bristol did yesterday i will be amazed. They will all believe they've got a better than even chance of winning,be prepared to stretch the game and not be frightened of us as Bristol clearly were yesterday.
