I will be taking 5 kids down tomorrow night, thay all had Red shirts for Xmas cos thats what they wanted. They will happily accept the free scarf too. They are a different generation, they have been going down in the last 6/7 years and only know playoffs and cup finals as a regular thing!!! Not like some of us who have seen all the 3rd division years, crowds of 3000 etc, and who waited a lifetime to see the bluebirds in a major cup final. The rebrand is with us and theres nothing we can do - and it has been helped by our league position. Lots of people still wear blue shirts, scarves, and will do for a few seasons yet im sure. But the youngsters will see the Red as Cardiff City quicker than we will. :ayatollah: :ayatollah:

It is easy to just accept things in life, 'nothing i can do' well one person has done alot more than influence there football club through history. Its very easy to sit back and accept it but if enough people make a stand we can at least force the club into a compromise.

Re: Blue Tuesday

Mon Feb 18, 2013 8:15 pm

I have fallen into like the majority of the reluctant red category.

I have accepted the fact we play in red and also understand the ideas behind the re-brand even if I don't agree with them. I also see myself as a realist and in all honesty I fully expect a large showing of red tomorrow and the blue campaign to be barely recognizable.

I actually don't want a large protest or to completely overthrow the owners, All i want is to maintain the fans right to voice an opinion.

Personally I don't mind red being featured in our kit, long before the re-brand I wanted a permanent Red away kit due to being proud welsh. I also like the incorporation of the Welsh dragon as Cardiff fans have been using welsh flags long before the Malaysians ever came.

What I do mind is the fact these changes were made without any consultation with the fans. We didn't get a choice about designs or styles.

I have accepted this now, it was done in a rush and mistakes were made. However the club need to know this summer we want a say, the majority hate the badge and want to help choose a new one.

Blue and red instead of black and red, is also a viable compromise similar to this kit.

http://bit.ly/ZbexHw

(even change colours around so more red than blue)

Hopefully the club will pick up on the fact we will not roll over to there every whim tomorrow and be cautious when making future decisions.

The best i can realistically hope for next year is to be playing in the premier league, with a red/blue kit and a nice badge.

We have to make a strong stand for blue at the moment so the club are forced into a compromise.

You cant 'force' the club into anything.

Im an armchair fan  . Okay Polo. I have family at the club who can verify that is BS. Can easily ask Baz to speak to my father if you want to get your pathetic claims put down the shitter with your children's inheritance.

No I wont be there tomorrow but I'll be at Wolves, not that I have to justify it to a selfish gambling and drug addict from the shit hole of civilisation.

No because you spread constant BS. I've never been angry on this forum but there is no need to spread lies as you constantly do.

You wouldn't say half this shit in person, you wouldn't even online if I knew your identity because I'd crucify you. Its all behind a persona. Sad. Sort your life out FFS before one of your children drops you when they realise the knob head you truly are.

PM? Why not here, right now. Simple as it gets to be honest. Nothing to hide from my end. What's your problem? I'll be in Aberystwyth as I have lectures. Then I'll be listening to the game and going to bed as I have to be up the next day as well.

Feel free to drop by any time though.

It'll be easy enough to find me given how small the town is so you shouldn't have a problem but if you do then just leave a message here and I'll happily reply. I look forward to seeing the real you for once.

Re: Blue Tuesday

I have no reason to be in Aberystwyth.

If you cant make tomorrow then ill see you next game. Seeing as youre not an armchair fan then im sure youll be there.

Let me know and then we can sort this problem out.

Next game i'm going is away vs Wolves with a uni mate. After that then I'll have plenty of work to do, saving and won't be home in Cardiff until Easter. I'll see you at the Blackburn game. We'll sort something out for then as I'll be there don't you worry. April 1st the game is for now. May change though.

April 1st because of where I am yep. If I was home I'd have a ST as I could afford it.

It will be worth it indeed. :thumbright:

I think it is a good idea. There's nothing wrong with wearing blue. I don't support the rebrand but I will always support the team. Tan will go eventually and we will go back to blue. The sooner the better if you ask me.

I still support the team. I just wish this rebrand hadn't happened as it would be like a carnival on match days. I just can't get used to red - especially at home against the cider swilling carrot crunching tractor driving inbreds.
