Andreas Cornelius is a very talented player, but he has his limitations as well.
Strengths: Physically strong, quite good technique, good finishing, positioning in the opponents area, nose for goals, heading. In addition it is worth mentioning that he seems like a lad with both feet on the ground. He doesn't whine when he is brought down, which I know is popular in British football.
Weaknesses: Speed, lack of routine, has a tendency of falling out the game.
All in all, I think he can be a good signing. My only scepsis is, that Cardiff currently holds six forwards?
Thanks! Great analysis!! And I loved the old Premier manager games, too!
You're welcome. Good news for me is that Cardiffs matches will be shown on Danish TV now. Bad news is that we will problably see a tendency that the number of young Danish Cardiff-fanboys will grow now. Obv. most annoying for me since I have supported CCFC since 97 genuinly. Oh well, the love of modern football.

Keep in mind his price tag and the fact that he is 20 years old. He is the present AND the future. He is no Kenny 'Donkey' Miller.

Um the thing is this guy and Kenny Miller are about as different you could get in terms of the way they play.

Would call him a younger verion of Benfigas cardoza, but faster - could despite of his pricetag turn out to be a bargain (although I hope not )

Cult of Personality wrote:Manchester United hero Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has urged his former club to sign FC Copenhagen striker Andreas Cornelius, who he believes has the ability to go “as far as he wants.”
Cornelius, 19, signed for Copenhagen in April this year and has enjoyed a remarkable start to life as a professional footballer, scoring 10 goals in his first 11 appearances, and has already been awarded his first cap for Denmark.
The teenager scored his first European goal on Thursday against Solskjaer’s Molde in the Europa League, and the former United striker is clearly impressed with what he saw from the talented striker, going as far as claiming he has all the right attributes to succeed at Old Trafford.
“Yes, he’s definitely an option (for United),” Solskjaer said. “He has the qualities to play at the top level if he continues his development.

Its a blast from the past thread, no need to delete. Almost 4 years to the day. Very interesting reading some of the posts here regarding the feeling at the time about the signing, may make for a decent debate on the transfer policies etc and what you feel went wrong.
Unless you deleted it on the instructions of the former mod that said A-corn was the real deal... deleted his post... then forgot to delete the post on page one of someone quoting him?

This whole episode was the beginning of the end for Malky Mackay, & unfortunately, the opening up of a can of worms,,,,its all well documented.
Fortunes in football can change very very quickly, for the better or for the worse.
There are plenty of big clubs, some ex Premiership, now in the lower leagues, who would testify to this!

There was plenty of positivity around this signing at the time though. looking through the comments it seems most if not all were in favour.
