Liverpool lose key staff member to Championship outfit Cardiff City
Our former head of fitness and conditioning, Ryland Morgans, is going to Championship side Cardiff City.
Morgans was brought in by our ex-boss Brendan Rodgers back in the summer of 2012, but left the club earlier this year.
He is currently with Wales in France as part of their EURO 2016 contingent. He is their head of performance.
However, once he returns from France, it has now been revealed by the Echo that he’ll join Welsh side Card
Apparently, Lennie Lawrence is also moving to Wales. He will be the assistant manager to new boss Paul Trollope.
“We are delighted to bring people with the experience Dr Ryland and Lennie have to the club and hope that they can play an important role in helping us achieve our ambition of promotion back to the Premier League,” said Cardiff’s chief executive, Ken Choo.
“We have put together a strong backroom coaching team this summer which we believe will help maximise the potential within our playing staff.”

' 11 Cardiff players contracts ending at the end of the season '
Friday 5th August 2016
The full worrying list of Cardiff City players who have just entered the final year of their contracts.
A total of 11 Cardiff City players will see their current deals expire at the end of the season, including some key men
Some of the key Cardiff City players who are out of contract in the summerSome of the key Cardiff City players who are out of contract in the summer
The contract situation of a number of Cardiff City players has been brought into sharp focus by Middlesbrough's interest in Fabio , with the Brazilian's current deal due to end next summer.
It means the Bluebirds are vulnerable to bids for a player who could leave for free in less than a year's time, and he's not the only one.
A quick look at the contract details of Paul Trollope's players shows 11 are coming to the end of their current deals, including some key men.
Trollope has signed Kenneth Zohore, Jazz Richards and Frederic Gounongbe on permanent deals this summer, while the Bluebirds have also renewed the contract of Stuart O'Keefe who was nearing the end of his initial deal.
As we approach the 2016/17 season, here is a look at the current crop of Bluebirds going into the final year of their contract.
The big players
Fabio
One half of the curly-haired Brazilian duo who made their name at Manchester United.
Fabio joined the club in January, 2014 and was an instant hit with the fans.
Judging by his impressive performances last season, the Bluebirds faithful will not want to let him go lightly but interest from Middlesborough, allied to his contract situation and a £2m release clause mean he could well be departing soon.
Fabio has been a key part of the pre-season plansFabio has been a key part of the pre-season plans
Bruno Manga
Undoubtedly one of Cardiff's best players, the club may have to offer the Gabonese international a lucrative deal to extend his stay beyond this season. Whether they have the finances to do that is another matter.
It's thought the club would certainly consider selling the defender for the right price, with a fee of around £4m likely to be accepted given he could leave for nothing at the end of the season.
It's all been relatively quiet so far this summer but Manga has attracted interest before and is certainly capable of playing in the Premier League.
Whatever happens, he surely cannot be allowed to leave for free.
Anthony Pilkington
Although he is entering the last year of his contract, all signs suggest Paul Trollope is keen on the player remaining with Cardiff.
Pilkington appears to be an integral part of the plans for the coming season, and is set to start against Birmingham City on the opening day.
Cardiff will need to tie him up on a deal sooner rather than later as there have been whispers other Championship clubs are interested this summer.
Peter Whittingham
A former England under-21 international, Whittingham signed from Aston Villa in 2007.
The left-footed midfielder has become a Cardiff stalwart after notching up an impressive goal-scoring record.
Bluebirds fans will be hoping the club's hierarchy offer the 32-year-old new terms soon.
Tom Adeyemi
A product of the Norwich City academy, Adeyemi joined Cardiff from Birmigham City in 2014.
He was loaned out to Championship rivals Leeds United last season and seems unlikely to be part of Trollope's plans.
Kagisho Dikgacoi
The South African international has been told he can leave the club by Paul Trollope.
Kadeem Harris
The 23-year-old played on loan for Barnsley last season but only made 14 appearances before returning to Cardiff.
It seems unlikely that the midfielder will have his contract extended as things stand.
Adam Le Fondre
The forward has struggled to impress for the Bluebirds and found himself out on loan to Bolton and Wolverhampton Wanderers respectively, in the past two seasons.
Le Fondre will not be offered a fresh deal and is highly likely to leave in the next few weeks.
Federico Macheda
Burst on to the scene with an accomplished finish for Manchester United against Aston Villa in 2009.
Following that impressive performance his career went downhill and he eventually ended up at Cardiff in 2014.
Having only scored six goals in 27 appearances for the Bluebirds, and with the new signing of Frederic Gounongbe, Macheda will surely leave before the end of the month.
Semi Ajayi
Ajayi moved to Cardiff from the Arsenal youth set up in 2015, but has failed to appear for the Bluebirds in a senior game.
The Nigerian under 20 international will have to make an impression this year or he may find himself looking for another club. He has impressed in pre-season though, and clearly has ability.
Rhys Healey
A 21-year-old forward who has made only one senior appearance as a substitute on the final day against Chelsea in 2014.
Since then he has been sent out on consecutive loan spells to Colchester United and Dundee respectively, and doesn't look like breaking through any time soon.
Simon Moore
The 27-year-old keeper is a product of the infamous Southampton academy and was bought from Brentford in 2013.
He has since played second fiddle to David Marshall, making only 17 league appearances and he may be keen to look elsewhere for more regular football.
