This is just another example of the ruling classes using our lads to fight illegal wars. To them we are cannon fodder they really don't give a f**k.

Paul Weller had it right.
"These days I find that I can't be bothered
These days I find that it's all too much
To pick up a gun and shoot a stranger
But I've got no choice so here I come, war games
I'm up on the hills, playing little boy soldiers
Reconnaissance duty up at 5:30
Shoot, shoot, shoot and kill the natives
You're one of us and we love you for that
Think of honor, Queen and country
You're a blessed son of the British Empire
God's on our side and so is Washington
Come out on the hills with the little boy soldiers
Come up on the hills with the little boy soldiers
Come out on the hills by little boy soldiers
Come on outside, I'll sing you a lullaby
Or tell a tale how goodness prevailed
We ruled the world, we killed and robbed
The f*cking lot but we don't feel bad
It was done beneath the flag of democracy
You'll believe and I do, yes, I do, yes, I do
Yes, I do, yes, I do, yes, I do, oh
These days I find that I can't be bothered
To argue with them, well, what's the point?
Better to take your shots and drop down dead
Then they send you home in a pine overcoat
With a letter to your mum
Saying find enclosed one son
One medal and a note to say he won "
I dont think the troops were under orders to recklessly shoot to kill unarmed civilians

I'd hope not MAESTEG BLUE.
As mentioned on other posts in this thread, to some Celtic fans the British military are still seen as the enemy.
The outcome of the enquiry into Bloody Sunday and the guilt of trigger happy British troops during that demonstration mean that for many the wounds are still raw.
Only my opinion but I think it's time that both loyalists/nationalists moved on completely but there will still be some on both sides that are dinosaurs.

Lord Saville and all the most prestigious ENGLISH barristers have lined their pockets during this enquiry.
None of the officers will face any reprimands but the paratroopers who are made up of the ordinary people, just like us will probably be branded as murderers and made examples of.
It's ALL just SO wrong.
It's time to banish the monarchy

THE QUEEN DIDN'T OPEN FIRE THAT DAY JOHNNY. bloody Sunday was one almighty f**k up and a tragedy. R.I.P. to all the victims. a line needs to be drawn under it. there were atrocities committed by all sides during the confict and it doesn't do anyone any good dragging it up on a ccfc forum

they just aint interested in anyone but cardiff city ! !!
and at every club where this celtic ,rangers , rangers celtic nonsense rears its head , it just leads to stupid arguements
we dont need to follow the english clubs like chelsea and leeds and birmingham, who have this sort of silly political stuff going on
if you were older , you would remember there was lots of it going on , also at portsmouth , millwall
its all stupid, bringing sectarain politics into football when it has nothing to do with us
up the city !!!!
And thats nice for all other city fans?ninianboy1 wrote:MAESTEG BLUE wrote:the secterian violence was cowardly and evil on both sides no one is disputing that.
Then we agree to some extent.
However, few of the loyalists/Rangers fans here condemn loyalist violence.
When has anyone said this?

Some Celtic fans are those from the likes of West Belfast who had suffered during the troubles and will never forgive the way the British army had treated them, I would not be atall surprised if the Guardian is deflecting a due criticism from the bloody sunday report in which the government has already admitted that the shootings by Paras was illegal.
Its so easy to stereotype, like all City fans are thugs. Some should really get off their high horses and stop throwing stones
