£3.8m , plus £6m or so that he could have taken (it was approved by the club) but eventually didn`t as the management fees voted for were reversed at a later date.
To be fair to Sam , at least in comparison to Ridsdale , there was never an attempt by PR not to take out money he had been voted - he took it all out as soon as he could.

I always thought the reason was - he'd allocated that 36m to himslef from 'management fees' etc.. had no chacne of ever getting it and so wrote it out for 3 reasons.
1. TAX
2. To reduce that years loss from £8m to £2m. The club was bust- and not viable as a going concern
3. There was no way the council would sign anything off with him taking that sort of money out
Beleive me, we were really in the sh1t when this happened.
