Sadly this is the new breed of hooligan who has no respect for children or scarfers.Years ago it was only like minded people having a ruck, but as i experienced up at chelsea, other clubs idiots have moved the goal posts.I just hope that some of our fans dont stoop as low as this.

People taking kids to games which have a history between both clubs is not the right thing to do.

Everyone knew there was going to be trouble on saturday yet they decided to put their rose tinted glasses on and ignored it. I hope for you childrens sake that they forgive you for putting them in that nasty situation in the future.

Bad parenting on YOUR part

did you go on saturday? i did and believe me there was hardly any trouble.

evan the hampshire police have said that.

There was a nasty incident involving 2 Cardiff fans being beaten up by a bunch of Portsmouth thugs. Its well documented on here.

Its always a balancing act when taking kids to football matches. No club can guarantee 100% safety for visiting families. However do we say no to taking kids because of this? Defeats the object really does it not especially as we are trying to turn it into a family sport. My opinion where there is known or possible trouble then the police need to be more active. Yes its easy to blame the police but really waht are they there for?

Sorry, I don't understand this comment, could you explain please? I've been watching football since the late 70s and, if you think that it was only "like minded people" who were affected by hooliganism even back then, you're very sadly mistaken or you're very naive. I've seen, and heard of, innocent people killed due to these like minded people. "Like minded people" is a phrase I hate

Your comments are your opinion - and very EXTREMLY NARROW minded at that!

People taking kids to games which have a history between both clubs is not the right thing to do.

OK so as previously stated does that mean
EVERY parent at wembley is a BAD PARENT ?!?!?!?!?!
EVERY parent at Chelsea is a BAD PARENT ?!?!?!?!?!!?
EVERY parent at SWANSEA home game is a BAD PARENT!?!?!?!?? - even though there are 7,000 in the familly stand right next to the AWAY fans - ?!?!?!?!

For pit'y's sake GROW UP - your flippant comment is pathetic

EVERYONE didn't think was goping to be trouble saturday - DUE to the OB and clubs & supporters clubs making an effort over the previous years - hence Wembley no trouble - AND MOST CERTAINLY THE 2 BLOKES WALKING BACK TO THEIR CAR DID NOT EXPECT TROUBLE!

MY CHILDRENS SAKE mate is why i went on the supporters coaches this is what OUR club encourage!

Bad parenting on YOUR part

HISTORY mate - I have been at the games since the age of 4 - are you saying all these years that i have been going to the games that my Father was a BAD PARENT ?!?!?!? and many others who have done the same thing

see you in the Ninian for a chat at the Hull home game and you can call me a BAD parent then we shall then discuss this a bit more indepth - i will be there with my son !

I struggle to see how taking your child to a football game makes you a bad parent?

millwall have never ever turned up in big numbers to my memory and the last time any sort of numbers did in 99 it turned into a nightmare visit for them.
unfortunatley with it not being a bubble we will have a load of the four times a season rent a mob turning out on the day and hanging around the city centre and canton.
lets hope it is a peaceful day because the press and football league will be looking for any excuse after the bellamy furore to drag us through the mud.
the one thing we have in common with our london brothers is no one likes us but we also dont care.
