This topic was due to Bales Father telling one of my best mates on the golf course all this and quite adamant it will all happen.

Yeah that's probably more directed to the Bellamy signing.
My point on the post was more about whether other clubs have benefitted from a hometown player signing for them while still able to get high paying contracts elsewhere.
