We played a back 4 tonight ???? and it was rubbish we should have played 3 at the back with 2 wingbacks (5 at the back)

Liked this lad last night, their no 10. Lucas Zelarayán, scored two and was outstanding, especially in the first half.

Plays for Columbus crew one of their best players, rated the 16th best player in the MLS... These guys were decent and we gave them the ball!

It was a bit of both, you could see at times the back spread to a 3-man formation (almost like a player default?). I like back 4 but not with 2 holding players as we don’t have that. Could have played a proper 4-3-3 with one holding player.

He could have also opted for a 2-3-5 look or 3-2-5. Our fullbacks have the ability to come in midfield and play with the ball, pushing Ramsey and Wilson further forward as 8’s. This formation does allow fullbacks to get back in position along with the holding player on counters
