Collins penalised for competing for (and winning) a bouncing ball; referee Steve Martin clearly influenced by the baying Sunderland crowd...

Bluebirds subs introduced...

Colwill on for Meite and Etete on for Ugbo

LATEST SCORE: SUNDERLAND 0 - 0 CARDIFF CITY

70 mins.

Sunderland looking dangerous.

Etete making a difference, as Sunderland resort to fouling in frustration when he (Etete) keeps winning the high midfield ball...

This game is following a familiar pattern with Sunderland dominating play only to be thwarted by the excellent to this point former Sunderland man Jak Alnwick...

LATEST SCORE: SUNDERLAND 0 - 0 CARDIFF CITY

Simon, he's one of those that offers little and then pops up with a goal...

Personally, I'd get Meite and Tanner on early in the second half and have a word with our stretched-too-easily defendrrs (Collins seemingly the worse so far)

HALF-TIME SCORE: SUNDERLAND 0 - 0 CARDIFF CITY

Meite started as well which I think shows how much impact our attackers have made this game

Quick question: When was the last time we saw a 'foul throw' given for/against any team...? :?

I honestly can't remember but Sunderland have done it more than once so far in this game...

Great attacking sees the Bluebirds have their best chance of the game with some excellent battling by Etete but Sunderland tear forward and tgreaten again...

Some excellent defending by Goutas and Alnwick...

Goal seems inevitable, Alnwick kept us in it so far. Can’t keep possession.

SUPERB BLUEBIRDS..!

Suoer link-up play sees Wintle's shot saved wide and the resulting corner sees the Bluebirds do the sensible thing and stay in the corner...

The game goes back up the other end and yet another superb gathering by Jak Alnwick sees the game slowed again before the ball goes up the other end after a great interception from Colwill that sees Tanner shoit over...

The game ends and it's not pretty but it's all 3 points thanks to a battling performamce at the back and a well taken corner from Wintle that saw Mark McGuinness 'smash and grab' winner and ot could/shoukd have been more in added time...! :notworthy:

That's 9 points from 9 in a weeks. With players rested in the Carabao Cup midweek, we can have a rest and really push next weekend versus Rotherham... :ayatollah: :bluescarf:

FINAL SCORE: SUNDERLAND 0 - 1 CARDIFF CITY
Bluebird scorer: Mark McGuinness, 87 mins

??????

I was laughing at the post about the impact our attackers had made.

Tanner was a lot better than Meite today.
