TopCat CCFC wrote:Anastasios Bakasetas has refused two new contract offers from Trabzonspor amid links to Cardiff City, as talk of his exit from the Turkish club intensifies.

The Bluebirds have been heavily linked with the Greek star in recent weeks as well as in the summer. The attacking midfielder is a player whom Erol Bulut likes, having worked with him before at Alanyaspor.

The Greece captain, 30, sees his contract expire at the end of the current season, with Cardiff having been linked with a move both in January and at the end of the season. And in a twist in the player's future, Trabzonspor president Ertuğrul Doğan last weekend said: "We made two offers to him. It is true that the player did not respond positively to them.

Bulut has spoken of his admiration for Bakasetas recently, but hinted that finances might be a problem if Cardiff were serious on bringing him to the Welsh capital alongside his compatriots Dimitrios Goutas and Manolis Siopis.

"He is a player I brought to Alanyaspor when I was there. We got to the cup final and got into the Europa League, with Siopis, at Alanya with me," Bulut said of the attacking midfielder.

"Also when I was manager at Fenerbahce I wanted him there, but we couldn't make it happen, so he went to Trabzonspor. In Trabzonspor he won the cup and he is playing well.

"I think the amount he is earning in Trabzon, for our club, it's not possible to pay those wages. That's why this deal looks difficult for us. He is a great player and I know him very well. We have been a long time together, we pushed him to where he is right now and he knows this. I know what he can give to a team."

Bulut bluffing trying to quash he rumours, or will they be too expensive, maybe he is trying to convenience Tan to commit?

Moore is basically done and dusted, as I have posted enough about it.

Then we have, 2 that are very close to finalising
Anastasios Bakasetas midfielder, who's wages which i posted yesterday are not a problem!
And lastly we have
Salih Ucan, midfielder

As long as there are no earthquakes or sunamis, come January there will be 3 new players, and I believe there will be more!

With this post you are fully confident these players will sign, now there seems to be a problem with one players wages, also if they were nailed on they would have signed by now.

Your info whoever it is from is very flawed it seems .

nobby, always good to see you posting and hope you are well...?

To be fair and supportive to Igovernor, his contact is highly reliable and for this sequence he has gone further than before by naming names; something he had criticism for previously...

In this case, the info coming through suggests that Keiffer Moore wants to come back to the Bluebirds and it's just a matter of waiting on Bournemouth...

The two Greek players depend on other issues being resolved but we are expected to sign one of them, if not both...

As we know, all 'deals' are subject to completion and things will often change; particularly when talk starts so far in advance and other clubs become aware of availability...

We are expecting 'several' signings and a few 'outgoings' this window but none were ever going to be completed on New Year's Day...

We just need patience and it will all develop... :bluescarf: :bluebird: :ayatollah:

These 3 players were linked to us weeks ago so it doesn't take a rocket scientist to take a guess.

Also the way he spoke about the deals as if they were nailed on ba k then, so if they were they would be our players now with no issues, so the fact of the matter is the info is flawed.

Also the other fact is not ONE single person knows who we are signing until it's done officially, unless they know a player personally and have been told otherwise prior to it happening.

Hopefully the op information turns out to be reliable because our squad would be a lot better with these players in it

But I’m not breaking out the champagne just yet as previous information has been at best average

Is there any update on these?

And before Sven jumps in looking at my posts I've said nothing this transfer window, just asking for updates.

Moore, who has 12 international goals in 39 caps for Wales, could be in line for a rare start this weekend as Bournemouth face QPR in the FA Cup third round.

Moore's former club, Cardiff City, have already expressed their interest in re-signing the Wales international, with Bluebirds boss Erol Bulut saying in November they "are working hard on it".

Iraola said the target man had been close to an exit last summer, and would not rule out a move away from the Vitality Stadium for Moore during this transfer window.

"He was close in the summer market to leaving the club, but every party decided he stayed with us," said Iraola.

"He has been helping the team a lot, but not probably playing as many minutes as he wants.

"Dom (Solanke) has been really performing at a good level and it is difficult to take him out of the game when we are playing with just one forward.

"It will be something that he (Moore) will have a lot to say about this, for me it's the most important part to listen to the players.

"Some players will prefer to stay and improve their roles, others will prefer to leave for different places where they can probably play more.

"If that's the player's opinion, the clubs start to negotiate and make the numbers work."

One week into January, and still no new players! This is concerning. I thought we would have players lined up, the season is ticking away and new players need time to bed in. Hopefully we will have some good news soon.

Its unrealistic to expect players in after a week the better players always take longer as more interest and financial considerations to take Into account
...eg moore is about money from Bournemouth perspective... bekatesas is he's is still under contract so bit harder to arrange... looking better on him as he's turned down panaithnikos.

Just tell Bournemouth we want our £1m + and look for a better striker.

The lack of transfers showed today, more quality needed asap, and the club has know that for a while. Many other teams have made transfers and had them playing today. Yes I know we will get some transfers in before the end of the window, but it's an opportunity missed imo. :bluescarf:

I was one of those that slated Rog during the summer, very vocally.

This window though has shown that a lot does happen in football, clubs coming in last minute. Better offers. Budgets, FFP, etc.

It is what it is. We have signed well this window considering its a January window.

For once I'll side with Rog.
