I believe what Keith is saying is there is now a new group of accountants employed by the EFL to monitor EVERY EFL club’s compliance and adherence to the existing rules

Obviously the club found out during the transfer window that their compliance with these rules where not what they originally thought they would be meaning that the club was not able to spend what they thought they would be able to without breaking the existing FFP rules

If it is the case that the club had FFP issues going on do you agree with me and think it would have been prudent for the club hierarchy to just be honest and say that they have issues with FFP.

It might not have been the news that we wanted but a lot can be said for a club that provides honesty and clarity in all situations

They have haven't they ? , for years they've said there close to ffp limit , it's in tbe accounts each year

All these people in the know telling other people your not intelegent enough to understand all this b.ll.cks about ffp and they hardly had an ounce of understanding themselves but where quick to spout off about it pretending to be something they are not and happy to tell there fellow man which run on the ladder you are on .

In another thread you mentioned about "new" rules that effect FFP and only came out a few day before the window closed.

Do you have any information about them or even better a link I can refer to? It would be good for all of us interested in the subject to know how this effects us.

I agree that Bulut must have felt let down in the January transfer window but the reason he was let down was actually the decision of the EFL financial review system to restrict CCFC transfer spending below the level they thought they could have and which they were discussing with the manager. The club didn`t move the goalposts it was the EFL and the change was only conveyed to the club a few days before the end of the transfer window.

These late changes impacted on a number of EFL clubs, not just our club which is why spending in the transfer window across the whole of the EFL was only £15m.In addition, similar restrictions for Premier League clubs meant that spending there was way down (over £800m Jan 23 down to only £100m Jan 24) and as a consequence there was far less money available to Championship clubs from selling players in to the Premier League.

After reading the replies a few times, I had to go to bed for a sleep, I have a picture that there are a load of accountants working for the EFL who can step in and tell us if we can or cannot sign a player ANYTIME. This is what Keith referred to as Real Time. So we approach the opening of a transfer window and we believe we have so much money to spend within the FFP. I'm taking it our own accountants have set the limits here. Well to me it looks like they got it all wrong as it seemed we were about to sign some of our targets only to be told we were short of the dough we were allowed to play with.

If this is it then why doesn't the club make a statement themselves instead of filtering the information via the Trust? Why don't they post a "link" of this statement from the EFL? For me it seems they have made a mess of the accounts and have used Keith to pass on the info. Nice move in a way as they can deny this if they want.

And I don't blame him for backing out given people's response to him.... I knew there wasn't a "LINK" and suspect you and others did to! so why he was being baited not sure? Annis I've been reading this thread like everyone...
And I don't blame him for backing out given people's response to him.... I knew there wasn't a "LINK" and suspect you and others did to! so why he was being baited not sure? I learned long ago never believe anyone regardless of who they are..... as for dalman why do people believe him when it suits people but call him a liar when it doesn't? And I'm right regarding clubs finance Keith gives an accurate account of clubs finances now he won't be here people will just put out figures to suit agendas ... anyway we will never know true position of ffp .....
What is poor about this thread is the lack of respect shown to Keith as a poster regardless of what he said....

Agree this thread juat sums up how this board is going down hill rapidly recently. Keith is dammed what ever he says , ive had spats with Keith over the years and tbh he doesn't deserve the shit he's got here even if i havnt agreed with him in the past .

No I never believed that 3 days before the dead line clubs got told New rules.
As to Keith, I have known him 30 yrs.
I do get on with him, but I feel he has changed drastically to keep in with Dalman.

I know a lot that can’t be put out in this forum and it would make you cringe.

In another thread you mentioned about "new" rules that effect FFP and only came out a few day before the window closed.

Do you have any information about them or even better a link I can refer to? It would be good for all of us interested in the subject to know how this effects us.

Below is what I was replying to from Keith:

I agree that Bulut must have felt let down in the January transfer window but the reason he was let down was actually the decision of the EFL financial review system to restrict CCFC transfer spending below the level they thought they could have and which they were discussing with the manager. The club didn`t move the goalposts it was the EFL and the change was only conveyed to the club a few days before the end of the transfer window.

These late changes impacted on a number of EFL clubs, not just our club which is why spending in the transfer window across the whole of the EFL was only £15m.In addition, similar restrictions for Premier League clubs meant that spending there was way down (over £800m Jan 23 down to only £100m Jan 24) and as a consequence there was far less money available to Championship clubs from selling players in to the Premier League.

After reading the replies a few times, I had to go to bed for a sleep, I have a picture that there are a load of accountants working for the EFL who can step in and tell us if we can or cannot sign a player ANYTIME. This is what Keith referred to as Real Time. So we approach the opening of a transfer window and we believe we have so much money to spend within the FFP. I'm taking it our own accountants have set the limits here. Well to me it looks like they got it all wrong as it seemed we were about to sign some of our targets only to be told we were short of the dough we were allowed to play with.

If this is it then why doesn't the club make a statement themselves instead of filtering the information via the Trust? Why don't they post a "link" of this statement from the EFL? For me it seems they have made a mess of the accounts and have used Keith to pass on the info. Nice move in a way as they can deny this if they want.

Because I now know there was NO New laws 3 days before the Transfer deadline.

I have read this topic with interest today, always respected Keith, but I can’t see how clubs were told with three days to go that new rules applied, I think Keith needs to hold his hands up and come clean and say he wrong on this.

Keith there is no shame in saying I hold my hands up I got it wrong.
