Robertson or Turnbull at HT for Ralls for me.

Tanner is a good player, he showed that when he had his purple patch last season, but he’s lacking in confidence. Bulut needs to take him out, bring on Meite.
In the meantime, he needs to see what makes him tick, because there is a very good player in there. He looks too scared to take his man on.

Bulut in supporters were saying works in progress all last season including the debacle at Rotherham. So nothing has changed on the pitch, with his stubborn one tactic or what is backers are saying. I would be encouraged if we were losing and offering something different to last season, particularly with formation, we aren’t. And we won’t, it’s the only formation he uses. And it makes us a soft touch at home.

Come on city, higher press, hunger and better quality , vary it!!!!!!

The stadium is dead, is this a reflection of the football Cardiiff are playing?

Hes had no space to go forward. He's also had two decent chances which he created.

What more do you want him to do with no space?

You've got to be kidding right?

Even when we are playing better football and more direct football with O Dowda and Willock pushing us forward well, you still moan.

Bore off.

This is better. Robinson still isolated but intensity better, quality and decision making still room for improvement. Need a goal to lift the stadium

Meite on for Tanner

Wonderful run from O'Dowda, who drives towards the Sunderland area before being hacked down by Hume. Free-kick 30 yards out.

Willock with another floaty cross, but Patterson commands his area well and gathers.

Siopis wearing number 3 is annoying me. No need for a central midfielder to be wearing that number

Meite has looked dangerous since coming on, and Kanga brings something different.

Someone needs to tell the city tv commentators that with less than 10 minutes to go & losing we are not "turning the screw" but supposedly chasing the game.

Disappointed to say the least. The term 'same old' comes to mind. Didn't even look like scoring, no striker brought in, which was the priority. As expected another Home defeat with no atmosphere and no end product. A lot of work to do for Bulut.

This team is still woefully short of pace.. until we correct that we are not going to be an attacking threat

To be fair don't think we deserved that. Dominated possession, Sunderland having 10 players behind the ball for most of it.

3 obviously pens turned down and 2 more that I've seen given against us.

There first goal was from a free kick that was never a free kick and their second a result of a foul.

Definitely need a winger and a striker still.

“Works in progress”

I have seen nothing different to last seasons unacceptable home form. Work rate good. Quality poor. Away fans bossing it and their goal scorers showing how to be clinical when an opportunity arises. We don’t work the opposition keeper. Mediocre. Stadium half empty.

We are better than this. We deserve better. It’s on the manager again. He should look at Oxford and Pompeys performances today.

Ah well, Leeds and Jacks lost , that’s cheered me up. Also I agree, Kanga given time could bring something different , and El Ghazi and Willock either side could be interesting, but the no 10 needs to be close to him, that did not happen last season enough and certainly today. One thing I cannot stand in football is an isolated striker, Buluts system in this country encourages that.

Robertson I hope turns out be quality

What a lacklust performance summed up by their second goal that was basically walked into the net. Where was the challenge.

Lets see how they respond against Burnley. Can't wait.

I can’t comment on today as I’m away but I’ve said all along that we need another striker, even if Kanga turns out well.

Of course we have to accept that El Ghazi and Robertson will make a big difference in forward areas but conceding two goals at home against an average Sunderland team is a bit of a concern.

I’ve always said that Ralls is not the answer as the defensive midfielder (whether you’re a fan of his or not he’s not mobile enough for that role)and we should be looking to strengthen there too.
