Turnbull hits another one - this time low and from 25 yards. Archer falls on it and gathers. Another injury for the visitors. Jordan Williams is down.

Robinson wins a corner for Cardiff

Substitutions
From what I understand teams are allowed 5 substitutes across 3 opportunities
Opportunity 1 - 1 player was used
Opportunity 2 - GK substituted
If another player goes off injured I guess we will have 5 subs and they will only be allowed to use 3
Is this correct?

Disappointing there from Robinson after Colwill catches Pompey out a treat…!

Tanner plays a ball through to Colwill and Archer is in two minds whether to come out and get it and he ends up in no-man's land. Colwill lifts a cross to Robinson who has an excellent chance to add a third, but blazes it over the bar. A waste.

The first half ends with the Bluebirds well on top and possibly hard done by not to be further ahead…
All bodes well for the second half, if the Bluebirds don’t fall back into the Bulut trap…!

Great first half. City in control and could have scored more.
Get the third and that will be the win.
Alnwick has had practically nothing to do.
All of the front five brilliant again.

Unless they make one at half time, that's not included in the three substitution breaks allowed.

They may claim the keeper as a concussion sub
Tue Oct 22, 2024 7:49 pm
Thats true. If they do then we can use 6 subs if we want

Goalie by looks of it had a head injury after city's 2nd goal... that's what he as indicating so they get extra sub for concussion protocol if that's what happened

Great performance by Cardiff so far
He's got a Canadian twang after his time there

Turnbull has an early shot but it's always fading and wide of the mark.

Goutas again clears along with Robertson.

Pompey have come out better this half

Whilst rubin is continuing his form from Saturday does anyone think his decision making is still off? Several yikes held it up long lost ball and he had chance to run in on goalie but crossed instead? Not criticism of performance just decision making which as been a weakness for awhile now.

Lovely build-up play from Cardiff down the right before it's switch to Robinson. He lays off O'Dowda on the overlap and his cross is deflected just wide.

Positive again from Cardiff. A corner is cleared to Colwill, who hits one from 20 yards, but again Archer is equal to it.
Tue Oct 22, 2024 8:03 pm
Colwill again. He is fed by O'Dowda and lets one fly - but it's well blocked.
Tue Oct 22, 2024 8:04 pm
Just showed on tv Rubin is everywhere in this game
Tue Oct 22, 2024 8:05 pm
Yengi pulls back O'Dowda on this left-hand side and it's a Cardiff free-kick. Looked to be a promising attack, otherwise.
Tue Oct 22, 2024 8:07 pm
Pompey fans singing still very loud
Tue Oct 22, 2024 8:07 pm
What a huge save. Yengi with a low shot which deflects of Lang - but Alnwick makes a razor-sharp reaction save!
Tue Oct 22, 2024 8:07 pm
Pompey picking up a little in the second half and go close after stealing the ball; but the Bluebirds not without their chances and O’Dowda might have done better on at least two occasions…
The Bluebirds just get closer and closer as Pompey tire…!
