Comfortable wins for Pietreczko and Aspinall, who will play each other in the next round.

Evening session starts at 7pm as usual:

Dobey v Rock

Van Gerwen v Dolan

Littler v White

Re: O/T World Darts Championship

Sat Dec 28, 2024 8:19 pm

Quality performance by Dobey, beats Rock 4-2.

Van Gerwen v Dolan next.

Re: O/T World Darts Championship

Sat Dec 28, 2024 9:41 pm

Van Gerwen gets through 4-2. Weird game, one minute he looks unplayable and the next he can't hit a double.

Littler v White completes the night next.

Re: O/T World Darts Championship

Sat Dec 28, 2024 10:57 pm

Not the most convincing performance by Littler but he wins 4-1.

He'll play Joyce next.

Four more Round Three games tomorrow with these in the afternoon:

De Graaf v Nebrida

Doets v Ratajski

Van den Bergh v Rydz

Evans v Owen is the first match in the evening before Round Four starts with Clayton v Price and Humphries v Wright.

Re: O/T World Darts Championship

Didn't see the afternoon games because of the City match obviously. But wins for De Graaf, Doets and Rydz.

Tonight begins with the last Round Three match of Evans v Owen.

That will be followed by the first two Round Four matches:

Clayton v Price

Humphries v Wright

Re: O/T World Darts Championship

Sun Dec 29, 2024 8:29 pm

Robert Owen beats Ricky Evans 4-2 in the last Round Three match. The third Welsh player in the Last 16.

Clayton v Price next in the opening Round Four match.

Re: O/T World Darts Championship

Sun Dec 29, 2024 9:42 pm

Gerwyn Price is the first player through to the quarter finals. He beats Jonny Clayton 4-2.

Humphries v Wright is the final game of the night.

Re: O/T World Darts Championship

Sun Dec 29, 2024 10:52 pm

Luke Humphries has big, big problems.

3-1 down to Peter Wright.

Who are you predicting?

Heart says Price, head says Littler; but I'm going to ignore both and say Aspinal!

If Littler can improve his doubles then he walks it. Nobody is getting close to his scoring power but his doubles nearly cost him last night.

MVG also looked good last night and his game against an in form Rydz should be a cracker.

Price is another who will be a contender if he sorts out the doubles.

So it's one of Littler, Price or MVG in my view. If I had to pick one I'd say Littler based on the scoring power.

MVG all the way. Littler won’t make the final.

The four quarter finals take place today. Format changes to first to five sets.

The afternoon session starts at 12.30pm:

Dobey v Price

Van Gerwen v Rydz

Re: O/T World Darts Championship

Dobey beats Price 5-3.

Price started well but some awful doubles cost him.

He missed 43 attempts at doubles. If he could hit his usually reliable double top, he'd have walked it and been in the semi with MVG

That amount missed at that level is just unforgivable. A shame, because his scoring was fine.

Didn't see the MVG game because was watching City but would say he has a strong chance of being in the final now.

Wright v Bunting and Littler v Aspinall tonight at 7pm.

Re: O/T World Darts Championship

Wed Jan 01, 2025 8:53 pm

Bunting beats Wright 5-2.

Wright was awful for most of the match.

Littler v Aspinall in the last quarter final next.

Looking like Littler v Aspinall could be over quite quickly....

He seems to have levels and will step it up when he needs to.

Looked like losing that fourth set but just stepped it up a gear to win it.

Unbelievable talent.

It does look like Aspinall might have a bit of dartitis tonight though, he's struggled with it before.

Yeah he does look like he’s struggling on his first throw in particular.

I know they’re mates but Aspinall seems too relaxed at times as if he’s resigned himself to losing already

Re: O/T World Darts Championship

Littler breezes past Aspinall 5-2.

MVG thrashes Dobey 6-1.

Wasn't at his best but didn't need to be, Dobey had his chances early on but didn't take them.

Littler v Bunting next to decide who he will play in tomorrow's final.
