Time to chill out
The people with the most to lose seem pretty upbeat without saying to much about the situation. it could well be that someone is playing a tremendous hand of poker behind the scenes which none of us has an inkling over. Hopefully we will have a better idea tomorrow of the situation. There is no point in getting upset, when it appears that none of the fans has an honest idea of the exact situation and how it will pan out.
The club will make a statement once agreement has been reached with HMRC tomorrow.
There is nothing the fans can do in the meantime to affect any descision that has already been taken.
It appears Guy who is the biggest shareholder will join the Board and control the affairs of the club personally.
The worst that could happen is that we go into admin.
Support the team tomorrow night unquestionable.
Demo a complete waste of time, descision already made on whether to keep or get rid of Ridsdale, by the people who have the power to do so.
Anything I have omitted?

I know this is your Board Annis but how can you say the stuff highlighted above then SB himself comes on here and we can all clearly see that what you said is not true. SB has CLEARLY not changed his mind about demonstrating tomorrow (and for very good reason). And as for the bit highlighted in red we CLEARLY WILL hear SB asking us to calm down because HE DID later in the thread.

It seems to me that it's you who wants a demo. What are your motives? Why do you ignore good advice and risk putting off potential investors? There was a maximum of 500 demonstrating after the Donny game out of a crowd of 19k. That says it all. You appear to have a small following on here so why not use your influence in a positive way.

I have a son who suffers from Muscular Dystrophy. It's a terminal condition. We don't know how much time he has left with us. He is Cardiff City mad. My one big desire is for him to see Cardiff City in the premiership. I hope your actions don't reduce the chances of that happening.

I am just sitting tight an waiting to see what happens now as we all know that Borley and Guy dont want the club to go into admin coz of 2 reasons really , 1. they love the club and 2. they will lose millions . Ive never been negative and unless the stadium is padlocked etc before the nxt home game then I feel we are safe :ayatollah: :ayatollah: :ayatollah:

If you read the first line of Annis' post it includes the words 'I believe' in other words it is his opinion based on what he has heard and he is not stating that is definitely Steve Borley's position.

Frankly we all do that, sometimes we get it right but mostly we get it wrong however that is the nature of a message board especially if you are a regular contributor.

If you are to continue using Message Boards then you have to understand the difference and not imply that those who express an opinion are deliberately trying to mislead people for their own agenda. Frankly I'm offended (& I'm sure that 99% of other regular users are) at your assumption that we would be so easily influenced and couldn't make up our own minds.

Finally I'm sorry to hear about your son's condition but I am also sickened that you resort to using such a terrible debilitating condition as emotional blackmail to get your point over. Personally if I was you I would spend more time with him rather than trying to unfairly knock others who only have the clubs welfare at heart.

Sickened Tony ? Way OTT!! The only reason that I mentioned my son's illness is that he means so much to me that I want him to see Cardiff City in the Premier league before it is too late for him and I don't want the actions of a minority of people to endanger that. How can that possibly sicken you?? And as for your comment about spending more time with him I respectfully suggest that you keep your views to yourself. How can you possibly know how much time I spend with him? I do everything I possibly can for him and feel deeply offended that you could say such a thing. And at the time I wrote the post he was in bed !! So I wrote the post in my own time.....of which I get very little. I won't go into the detail of exactly what sort of commitment that takes to look after a severely disabled person because you will no doubt think that I'm trying the emotional blackmail thing again but believe me it's an enormous commitment and there's no need for the cheap shots!!

I thought that the whole point of a messageboard was that it provides an opportunity to express a view on something. But if by expressing a view that is different to yours you twist things and insult me it's not worth the bother. My view is that I don't think a demo will achieve anything. SB has asked fans for calm which is the opposite to what was suggested on here. Am I not allowed to point that out without suffering personal attacks??

This is pathetic! How anyone can go and make comments regarding a disabled little child makes me sick! You have no idea what the father of the child goes through so how you can say he should spend more time with the child is one of the most moronic things I've ever had the displeasure to read on a FOOTBALL FORUM

I note you have conviently avoided the rest of my post and concentrate on your son's illness.

We all have crosses to bare I have my own, but I would never bring them up on a message board just so I could gain sympathy whilst unfairly slating another MB user.

Your son's illness had nothing to do with Annis' opinion about Steve Borley and you had no reason to bring it up in such away and my comments were fair comment in the circumstances. REMEMBER YOU RAISED THE ISSUE NOT ME.

How do you know I don't know what dibilitating illness is like? For your information I do but I wouldn't ever use it to gain sympathy whilst slating another Message Board user. I suggest you read the rest of his post, he claims that Annis deliberately didn't tell the truth over Borley's position for his own agenda and then tagged his ill child on the end to give it credability.

If you find that acceptable then it's not me that's pathetic.

I kind of agree with you here Tony, whilst its terrbile that the posters son has this illness, I think the way in which he rightly or wrongly worded was out of order, I may have interpreted it wrongly but the way I read it is that if I protest and that in some way impacts on possible future investment and Cardiff City dont make the premiership then I should feel shame becuase of his son.

As said it may have been typed wrong or readw rong but thats how i see the comment.

Anyway enough turning on each other this isnt CCMB.

Humphrey's that is another good point, again a wider audiance not just Annis could also feel emotionally blackmailed including me who will be demonstrating tonight.

My original point was for the poster to understand the difference between 'I believe' (an opinion) or it's fact (I have the evidence) when Annis posted his 'opinion' about Steve Borley.

As it turned out Annis got his opinion wrong, but as 90% of opinion generally is inaccurate then there couldn't be a secert agenda on Annis' part and he needed to understand that.

The bit about his son simply didn't need to be added if he was making a direct attack on another MB user. TBH it's unfair and puts Annis on the backfoot or worse means he can't reply.

Using sick children like that is way out of order.

Re: ITS ONLY WHAT I HAVE HEARD

Tue Feb 09, 2010 12:23 pm

Tony, you've put your own interpretation on this. Look, I never meant for the discussion to be about my son. The only reason I mentioned him is that because of the nature of his illness he may only have a couple of seasons left supporting the City. My fear is that if protests lead to investors being put off then we are truly in the cack and administration looks likely. Ten points deduction = no promotion this season and possibly next. That is all mate. I would like to see City in the Prem but I will support them whatever division we are in but I would just like my son to have the pleasure of seeing them in the Prem before it's too late. Those are my reasons. Nothing else. Please dont put a spin on it. No offence intended. But no need to insult me either.

I didn't mention what else he said regarding Annis's comments because I couldn't really care, it's his right on a football forum to agree or disagree with whoever he chooses, Annis is a big boy who I know can look after himself.

But I did take offence to how you can say he should spend more time with his son! I said you have no idea of what the father of this child goes through, and you don't! But instead of admitting you were wrong you're going around in circles!! that was when I lost all respect for you. I have worked with severely disabled children/adults for over 10 years and I know exactly what a parent goes through.

Listen, I won't be commenting anymore on the situation as it's pointless, I will not use a disabled child who is a human being as a debating topic on a football forum.

I've no problem with you at all Tony we just don't agree on this subject, I bet there is plenty we do agree on.... Like PR is a honest, money smart man! :ayatollah:

are your opinions changing then annis?

one minute you say we have many changes over the past week - with things looking to be stepping in the right direction - to - BUT THE WAY OUR CLUB IS BEING RUN AT THE MOMENT WE WONT HAVE AS CLUB TO EVEN SUPPORT.

Im probably as confused as every one else on any matters regarding whats going on behind the closed doors.

All these threads are starting to become as negative as the protests and demos (as Steve has already mentioned!)

BTW - this comment was a little out of order :

I have a son who suffers from Muscular Dystrophy. It's a terminal condition. We don't know how much time he has left with us. He is Cardiff City mad. My one big desire is for him to see Cardiff City in the premiership. I hope youractions don't reduce the chances of that happening. - Its kind of directed souly at Annis.

But this comment is as equally if not worse!! :
Personally if I was you I would spend more time with him rather than trying to unfairly knock others who only have the clubs welfare at heart.

Like I said earlier why anybody would want to bring a child's illness into a football forum is beyond me! Annis has nothing to worry about in the slightest! To be honest I wasn't commenting so much on what the original post was saying, more to the point that A, so one tells a father he should spend more time with his kid and B, why someone would want to bring their sick child into a football debate! it's wrong, plain and simple.

Keep it to football then every one can say what they want.
