Some of the press are saying that Ramsey has not triggered the 1-year extension because he wants a contract with Nice to June 2025. Not sure if there is any truth in that but if there is then I hope that the talks with the City are not simply to force Nice to offer him the 2-year contract.

why cannot the people concerned say yes or no

Monty, I don’t understand why you’re ‘peeded’ off?

Why do you think all parties are stringing fans along?

According to Annis this transfer is all signed up so why not have a bit of patience?
These things are sometimes complicated and take time, can’t you comprehend that?

Look at Declan Rice and his transfer from West Ham to Arsenal for example. It’s all done and dusted and has been going on a lot longer than the Ramsey situation but cannot be revealed yet for whatever reason.

Or are you just trying to blame our club?

Thank you.

Yes way more complicated than us fans realise .

But I can tell you now we are virtually there and Ramsey can never be blamed if things at the last moment went sour.

Do you think it will go sour then, as mentioned I don’t think it will happen, and maybe it’s time to move on, definitely feels like bale all over again, why are you so sure the deal is “done” just want it over with now :(

Aaron Ramsey is going back to Cardiff! The agreement has already been concluded for almost a month. The transfer is currently blocked by #OGCNice as the contracts have yet to be signed by FIFA. Announcement next Monday.

So who's fault would it be in your opinion?

Re: UPDATED: “ LATEST ON RAMSEY / CCFC “

contract extension clauses are usually the club’s to trigger, not the player.

i guess Ramsey could tell them he has no interest in playing for Nice next season and make it as difficult and awkward as possible for them but ultimately I believe it’s Nice’s call.

Given the circumstances under which Ramsey signed for Nice , having failed in Scotland and at Juventus , I’d assume that the clause is Nice’s to trigger.

They took a gamble on him , the clause protects them from him just walking on a free if he has a good season

Look at Eriksen at Brentford with no trigger clause going straight to Man Utd after they took a gamble on him and he had a good half season

Yes some have said done deal othets like bbc radio saying ramsey will be exspected to return for trainning next week
I am hoping from the club something more concrete go put to bed all speculation either way
And i am just the only impatient fan on the forum i guess or so it seems
But will be there for the 1st game of the season.

How can Annis or anybody know whose fault or who’s to blame for something that haven’t even happened yet?

I just don’t get all the impatience on this thread.

Just calm down everyone whatever will be will be!

I asked in his opinion, that's why I said opinion, nothing to do with knowing. If it goes through it goes through, if not it doesn't, nothing impatient from me.

What I am hearing Dalman made an offer to Ramsey , was well below what Ramsey is use to.
But Ramsey has not wasted all
The money he has earned.
His time with his family means much more to him than the big money offers else where.

Ramsey is doing his best to get out of the trigger in the contract with Nice, might even have to buy out.
So yes if Ramsey expects some % of sakes season tickets / merchandise etc etc then yes for me he’s worth it.

Well it is no surprise Dalman offered well below what he has been use to and most fans would expected that. ( no blame on Dalman there )
The % percentage of ticket sales and merchandise is just a commercial decision as this is what helps fund other potential players. I would not be surprised if he ends in Saudi

Ramsey himself sorted out Nice etc

Of course it would be a good signing.

Can't believe some people are questioning his fitness. Averaged 60mins per game in Ligue 1 last season, which is a higher standard than the Championship.

He will be a top signing.

Agree.

Newcastle were interested in him, still has a huge amount to offer and any player regardless of age can pick up injuries Jamilu Collins as an example. Bring him home.
