Conceding too easily and not scoring goals, sound familiar? Yes it’s Porto but this is a wake up call for the “we will be top four” comments. We’re far from where we need to be and I think some realism and adjusted expectations would be helpful.

I always said we should target mid table this season and that would be a good finish.

I'm encouraged we can achieve that after tonight.

Watch Simon as honesty is not accepted by some.

We get carried away by beating Welsh League sides.

We played well yes tonight, but we need quality strikers that is a fact.

We need them Asap

Looking quite toothless still yep. Obviously had plenty of pace against the Welsh prem sides but it's good the lads are getting a run out against Champions League players. Hoping between that somewhere there's the quality in this side to win Championship games 2-0 or 2-1 or similar.

Colwill, Simpson, Benjamin, Collins, Etete and Rinomhota on for Ojo, Ugbo, Wintle, O'Dowda, Goutas and McGuinness

We need more than quality strikers, we need wingers who can create and someone in midfield who can pull the strings.
I can’t see much difference from last season.

4-0

Terrible mistake by Benjamin, he needs a loan. Not ready for the Championship.

Shouldn’t knock a youngster.
However, Benjamin is an accident waiting to happen every pre-season game!

And doesn’t it show, men against boys and they’ve barely got out of 2nd gear. Keep kidding yourself, but we’ve scored barely any goals all pre-season, despite some low level opposition. All the issues we had last season are still there.

Got a half decent squad to build on by the looks, but do need a winger, CM and CB to challenge in the division this year.

Not relagation fodder, but not play offs.

Spot on.

We have a mid table squad. After last season, I'd be happy with that.

It's those that say nothing has changed from last season that annoy me, because clearly it has.

Agreed mate. I deal with facts and am not a big prediction fan. I’ll judge the team after ten games, we should have a decent idea then.

How the hell is that a mid table squad
We’ve lost our main goal threat in Kaba and 2 of our best players in Kipre and Philogene and replaced them with free transfers included some untested in the championship. Yes we’ve got Adams and Collins back but we haven’t seen enough of either to know whether they are good enough over a season. Ramsey aside, where’s the quality that will push us up to mid table?

Tell you what, come back in eight months and we'll see who's right :thumbright:

I didn't get carried away with the games against the Welsh teams and I won't get carried away by this defeat either.

You missed Robinson and Grant tbf, they are both tested goal scorers in the champ.
