Usually non disclosure would mean gone down the Rd a fair bit regarding sale.... but as far as can see on here it was an offer it was rejected so nothing to keep secret? But as I've said before if that interested they will come back with another offer you don't simply say here's 20m take it or leave it especially with football club involved

Sure. Just thought I’d raise it. In case it had gone that far. Without knowing what’s going to be posted we don’t know how far it may or may not have got to.

Very true but like said surley they will come back if that interested ... what is puzzling is nothing in news which is strange even for city

I wondered at the time whether there was any real life in the “good news” story and, frankly, I’m not convinced there ever was a story.

I do believe that Forever Blue was genuine in putting the information out but I think he was led up the garden path by somebody who just wanted to create more uncertainty for the club.

There is no way that Tan would ever let in additional investors and give away any power whatsoever.

We need a change in ownership but that will have to be a full takeover as I just can’t see Tan accepting any other way.

Certainly takes away the last excuse for delaying the decision on the manager.

There actually was, Tan had I been told lowered his asking price by £50mill, potential buyers had come in.
Then Tan decided to continue the Sala case and decided No I am not reducing the price lower than £200 mill etc

I really thought we were moving on big time.

As I said, I do believe you genuinely had that information but I’m not sure how genuine the offer was !!

I would add that if the Sala case was the deciding factor then the legal team must be extremely confident of the outcome. If that comes to fruition then it will bump up the price by a good few million !!

Was anything put up afterwards?

Thank you and I do actually agree the Sala case has changed a lot of things that are happening under Tan.

Yes Tan really believes he will win, but I as a fan don’t see him wining, I actually hope I am wrong and Tan gains from this and it all helps our club.

If he was willing to reduce the price by 50mill and then changed his mind and decided to carry on with the Sala case it sounds like he was given legal advice suggesting he had a good chance of winning. We shall have to wait and see. I do worry about those wishing to purchase the club as it seems so secretive where normally they are quite open about bids.

This just shows how stubborn VT is being.

He could sell for £150m with the caveat that:

a) Solicitors be allowed to continue running the Loss of Revenue case
b) VT continues to fund that
c) Any award in the CCFCs favour be given to VT

So in effect he receives £150m plus an unknown amount (ranging from £0 to £70m) once the case is settled.

Could this be workable?

Could the ones putting in offer come back after case is settled?

That’s surely the most likely ?

Interesting although wouldn’t the Sala case have a massive bearing on FFP compliance as we’ve currently accounted as £15m paid out in the fee. If we get that back then the new owners/Tan would then have a whole lot more wriggle room in terms of squad investment making us more viable ?

Anyone got a view on that ?

Hopefully this afternoon not tonight

The only good news will be that Tan is out of the picture, however that unfolds.
