I don’t like Robinson as a player. He never challenges properly or puts a challenge in. BUT that was as ABSOLUTELY TERRIBLE DECISION by the ref.
FEEL SORRY FOR THE MANAGER.

I dont think its even a yellow. That's proper fucked us

I think it was a silly thing to do in today’s game but agree that to be sent off for that is ridiculous. We have completely shot ourselves in the foot here after a strong first half
Wed Jan 01, 2025 4:18 pm
It's a clear red card. Robinson clearly raises his arm into the defenders face.
Shocking defending by Daland letting him in for a goal and Robinson is an idiot, he's let us down badly and the game has turned against us.

It does not matter he's waved his arm & elbow in the players face who then milks it like every other footaller today irrelevant of who they play for to get an advantage sadly they all do it. He's not him it's a red card you can't defend the undefendable he even waved his hand to say sorry yet the moron done it for whatever reason. The blokes a clown and a loose cannon it's not the first time he's been sent off for the same shit.

Saw the reply, it’s a red. Take the bluebird tinted glasses off, swings his elbow, no attempt of jumping with the arm movement.
Typical red from him, like the stupid one against Swansea.

I hope this referee never officiates a Sheff Utd match because what Robinson did there (or what he didnt do) is no different to how Kieffer Moore plays. When you are taller and with your back to go thats how you shield the ball.
Extremely bad decision

Exactly people will defend anything on here it's a red end of. Baffles me.he even said sorry and waved his hands towards the player to apologise because he got caught by the ref. The blokes a f*cking idiot and a loose cannon end of. It could of been any team and any player it's a red and that's it tbh. How people can defend that is beyond belief on here

I’ll need to look again but Robinson’s apologetic reaction spoke volumes; but the bigger issue is that it’s a three game ban for violent conduct, if an appeal fails…
We’re under the cosh now and going to have to work hard to get anything on another day where other scores are going against us (so far)

It's a challenge that happens every week in every game. Never a red.

All Coventry now and the Bluebirds will do well to stem the flow…
But stranger things have happened and Alnwick makes another decent save…

Coventry really should be in front now, as the Bluebirds defence are earning their corn…

They're all over us now, first & second to every ball. That first 2 minutes of the second half is going to end up costing us the game, and the ref is giving us nothing at all.
Wed Jan 01, 2025 4:35 pm
Willock and Ahford have done well worked hard
Going back to the red card. EXTREMELY POOR DECISION - the ref saw their player flat out and rushed into an incorrect decision.
That said Robinson is very poor when not in possession too cowardly to challenge / tackle properly.
Wed Jan 01, 2025 4:36 pm
Should be 2-1 City.
Tanner through on goal but it's saved
Wed Jan 01, 2025 4:37 pm
Just wide by Meite
Wed Jan 01, 2025 4:37 pm
1 of those 2 big chances have to go in!
Wed Jan 01, 2025 4:38 pm
Tanner goes close and could/should have done better one-on-one…
The Bluebirds are having a go where they can and Meite goes close also…!
LATEST SCORE: CARDIFF CITY 1 - 1 COVENTRY CITY (76 mins)Bluebird scorer: Alex Robertson, 6 mins

I thought Tanner should have taken the ball further rather than shoot so early.
Wed Jan 01, 2025 4:42 pm
Coventry miss a sitter, it was offside anyway
Wed Jan 01, 2025 4:43 pm
Another good attack is wasted by Coventry, who miss another gilt-edged chance to go ahead…

It's becoming 10 v 12 here, ref giving them everything, they just need to fall over.

https://www.soccerbase.com/referees/referee.sd?referee_id=2497James Durkin is a referee who has been primarily officiating in League 2 at a drastically reduced pace, and skill level, than that of today.
One way to get himself noticed, or promoted, is to make questionable decisions. They say there is no such thing as bad publicity so rightly or wrongly he will be in the minds of the EFL.
Wed Jan 01, 2025 4:46 pm
Clinging on now. If only tanner had taken it another few yards more rather than shoot from outside the area.
If we can get one more chance somehow
