Good save by Horvath
Thu Jan 09, 2025 7:47 pm
Colwill bottled it, he's lost his confidence
Thu Jan 09, 2025 7:47 pm
Yerrible ball from colwill

Terrible pass by Rubin
Big chance to make it 2-0 but he wastes it
Thu Jan 09, 2025 7:48 pm
HT: 0-1
Got to be happy with that at half time.
We look dangerous going forward but are giving the ball away around our own box too much.
Sheffield United not playing well but will surely improve.
Ashford has been brilliant.

Should have taken the shot himself

Blake wants sheff to win going on his praise for their players.

Somehow Colwill's final ball gets worse with each passing game, so much for "he needs a run of games".
Thu Jan 09, 2025 7:49 pm
A decent strike from the Blades and a decent save from Horvath before the first half ends; then the Bluebirds tear up the other end and another poor pass sees the ball go back up the other end…
A more than decent first half from the Bluebirds and we should be happy to take in the advantage…
HALF-TIME SCORE (FA Cup 3): SHEFFIELD UNITED 0 - 1 CARDIFF CITY (45+1 mins)Bluebird scorer: Cian Ashford, 19 mins

I hope page ain't thinking he's getting the job!!!

A mixture of very good and absolutely awful performances. Ashford, Daland, Fish, Ralls very good. Ng, Colwill, Kpakio, Etete awful. What's happened to NG? Colwill is fast confirming he needs to be moved on. That opportunity at the end of the half summing him up. Useless in front of goal. Ashford stock however is rising. Entertaining game.

looking decent. Not sure the NG experiment is working, he doesn't have the skillset for the middle of the park. Chamber was a premier league full back, so had the close skill, but its been a decent trial.
Rubin is such a strange player, all the skill in the world, but little composure. He will be a top player when he drops a bit deeper.

He will be a top player when he stops growing
He will be a top player when he gets a run of games
He will be a top player when....
Unfortunately we've heard it all before and he's not a top player.
Ashford showing him how it's done recently.

Just read the comment, we must have the most miserable fans in the country!!!
FFS we are winning with a half an academy team
Thu Jan 09, 2025 7:59 pm
Thought nearly all the boys doing well. NG playing out of position in mid, giving it away a few times but he's not a MF.
Colwill should of shot near end of first half... just seems keep the ball a bit too long

Really enjoying this game so far. Great to see so many academy players in the team. Ashford has been fantastic and he seems to be making that right side position his own. I think Ruben struggles when he’s not in the 10 position just drifting around into space. I actually thought etete has been ok and he hasn’t played all year so hopefully will get fitter and sharper. Kpakio looks very nervous bless him and too scared to make a mistake so is just trying to go safe all the time. Anyway I’m really enjoying it so far some good young lads on show from us and that’s something to be proud of during a terrible season
Thu Jan 09, 2025 8:04 pm
Well this is as good as it gets with team like this, I had us down to loose heavy so I'm happy.
Thu Jan 09, 2025 8:04 pm
Tom Davies and Luke Pearce on for Kpakio and Etete
Thu Jan 09, 2025 8:04 pm
It is sad to see but Rubin & Tanner seem to to have completely lost their confidence.

Good to see more of the youngsters getting valuable 1st team experience and game time

Strange comment. Etete did well in his first game since God knows. Presumably taken off not to risk too many mins in his first game back? Kpakio looked a eal prospect till his injury and the injury is why he came off.
All the team did ok 1st half, although Colwill can be frustrating..
Thu Jan 09, 2025 8:10 pm
Horvath with a save to deny One
Thu Jan 09, 2025 8:10 pm
Sheffield United much better at the start of the second half
Thu Jan 09, 2025 8:10 pm
Su upping tjeir game now
Thu Jan 09, 2025 8:11 pm
Sheffield utd are full throttle this half we have to match them
Thu Jan 09, 2025 8:12 pm
Our passing is abysmal, we're just giving it to the SU players and it may end up costing us.
Thu Jan 09, 2025 8:15 pm
Bagan shoots well over after a nice one-two with Rubin
Thu Jan 09, 2025 8:17 pm
People complaining with the type of side we put out?
Relax! We aren’t risking players for a cup game. Just good minutes for some players.
Thu Jan 09, 2025 8:17 pm
Rubin with another chance to do something but delays too much
