Hotel in Town Help please

Can someone help out please - me, wife and lad are coming down for the jacks game and staying over the sat night , anyone know a cheapish hotel we can stay in the city.
Wifey is hoping the shops are open on a sunday too

etap 3 to a room,30quid i think,and its in town

walkable to the city centre shops on the Sunday and cheaper than the city centre ones and good tidy rooms

There's a new-ish one right by Central Station at the end of St. Marys street.
Rooms advertised as about £40 a night... looks quite modern too...

stayed here many times http://www.thebigsleephotel.com/home.asp?hotelid=1 very central and good buffet brekie.

try the travel lodge down the bay, premier inn were doing £29 rooms over easter but the prob gone now

thank to all who got back to me - managed to get into the ETAP , it was the only one available on the saturday night , whats the town like at night ? my lad is 16 - but bulit like a brick shithouse , will he be able to get into the bars with us at night or are they like blackpool and demand id up to 21yr old ?

Forget shopping on the sunday bruv..

The shops in cardiff only close 2 times a year..xmas day, and easter sunday, its easter sunday that weekend.
