Wed Jan 09, 2013 10:31 pm

For those of uou who watched us beating the champions of Europe tonight can you now see why coleman took the captaincy of ramsey and give it to ash. What a performance by our captain. Great news for wales to see thw big man back to his very best.

He's not welsh. Should never be captain.

I'd say the same if Ben Turner was suggested as captain. :ayatollah:

As a Welsh person thats not something to be proud of.

In fact I am fully ashamed of the decision and I've turned my back on Wales and until its reversed then I will return to supporting my country.

Shouldn't be in the squad at all. However, played well tonight. Which is a change as he has been awful every other game I've seen him play. Especially for Cymru.

Get over it?

This is how biased you lot are really?

I've supported Wales for 7 years and they decide its perfect for a English born player to lead out WALES?

Coleman only did it as a former jack. Lets face it Williams is shit for Wales, he has been good for you this season but he's gonna need another monster performance in two weeks, that second goal might actually have made the job harder for you I think/hope.

As I said, should Turner have accepted a Wales call up, I'd say he should never be captain either.

A decision by the most inept and clueless manager of all time who won't be in the job that long...... takes the captaincy of Wales from a Welshman and gives it to an Englishman. Yeah great f*cking idea

I feel the same way if Turner was captain.. I have massive respect for him for turning down even though he might not play for England.. he is showing loyalty to where he was born which I have respect for.

I literally would find it so hard to start cheering Wales walking out when there is a English born player leading us out.

Same would go if a player born in France played for Wales and was captain.

What a load of bollocks. I think ramsey was a brilliant player however since his injury he has at best been average. Most of the time he has been shocking and the rest of the time absolutely dog rough. No way should a player with so little experience and so little leadership skills be captain he playing so poorly. Ash is a natural leader and relishes the responsibilty. As for where he was born FfS its 2012 we live in a world where peoples nationality are so much more blurred. Plus he sings the anthem every game unlike so many others over the years.

Yes, Obviously Gary Speed had no clue what he was doing, did he?!

He may be the best leader in the world but he is ENGLISH. Therefore should not captain Wales.

Ramsey had a better record under Speed as captain than Williams has under Coleman.

I could mark Torres out of the game hes shit. hes a sulking little shithouse.

Ba murdered williams when he come on the jacks were lucky it was only 10 mins.

If Ba starts 2nd leg Chelsea to go through.

Re: he's captain of wales

Ashley Williams is over rated, he's not been playing well this season for both the Jacks and Wales. As for the captaincy, better option than Ramsey but most of the team are English so I couldn't care less anymore. I'd rather have good English born players in the squad than awful Welsh born players, perhaps they should have a Welsh born captain though.

The answer should be zero.

I would think quite a few, Vinnie Jones springs to mind.

He's English and shouldn't be captain. Here is a question you should be asking, who was the last Wales captain to be born in Swansea? I know Williams was born in England but before him the last three captains of Wales were all from around YOUR CAPITAL area.
Ramsey, Bellamy and Giggs. Also Bale has captained us on some occasions too. Again he is from YOUR CAPITAL! :ayatollah:

Re: he's captain of wales

The old he sings the anthem, yes I don't give a s**t. It doesn't bother me if the Welsh born players don't sing it either.. Their playing for the country they were born in. Williams accepted to play for Wales because he would never make it for England because he is just rubbish. Worst CB I've seen for us out of my 8 years.

Wales captain should be Bale. Our best player and most consistent, and has now captained Spurs. And most importantly, he is Welsh :ayatollah:

The fuss about someone not singing the anthem winds me up. At the end of the day their standing their in a Wales shirt prepared to put 100% in.

Swansea fans on here are incredibly biased. But then again they have GB flags everywhere.

Another wind up thread on here from yet another Swansea fan with no class. Just beat Chelsea in the cup and straight on Cardiff's forum to gloat. You should have been on the town getting smashed to celebrate and incapable of even typing today but no, instead you'd rather continue your obsession. Pathetic.

Perhaps he should have celebrated by knocking a girl out and then he may gain some respect from you then.
