Rory McIlroy new contract with Nike will earn 44k per day.
Personally I won't get out of bed for anything less than 15k a week, I'm not greedy!

Fair play to him, he is at the top of his game and has clearly worked extremely hard to get where he is today. I agree that it's too much money but that's what these top companies like Nike pay them. Players that finish in the top ten of tournaments usually don't get all of their prize money straight away, a percentage of it goes into a retirement fund that they can only access when they are 65. However the PGA of America changed this regarding the FedEx cup where the winner gets 11 million dollars because if tiger woods wins it twice more in his career he will have nearly 100 million pound waiting for him when he turns 65.
