Adkins for Wales

Fri Jan 18, 2013 12:02 pm

Iknow its harsh but ,
With nigel Adkins being sacked today if i was the welsh FA i would sack coleman and go get him in asap .
Great manager with poor teams , good tactician , premiership experiance and knows how to gel young teams together.
Would be perect for wales and he would suit international football imo
:)

Good call. I would like Adkins as manager of Wales only problem is he is English. With the rivalry we have with England would his heart be in the Wales job? I'm not too sure!

it is a good call however the WFA don't like good managers

Adkins is at the highest point of his career, he's going to be in demand by all manner of clubs in this division and the premier league. Managers of Wales tend to be just starting out or on a downward trent. Adkins won't come to us, it would ruin his momentum.

Coleman is rubbish but the best man for the job, we should have stuck with Dutch Ray.

thats a great shout, I would love Adkins to take the Welsh job but the inept people at the Welsh FA won't have any of it coz he's not "Welsh"

Born in nearby Birkenhead, but was manager of Bangor City.

He would be an inspired choice for Wales but I doubt them idiots at the FAW would go for him

Obviously would be a fantastic choice as manager, but I can't see him taking the Welsh job when due to the situation he was sacked he'll have no trouble getting a Premier League job.

They're quite happy to have a captain that's not Welsh though!

Didn't he finish his playing career with Bangor and start his manager stint at Bangor, I can remember reading in The voice the magazine that is sent to FAW members, he left them a year after winning the Welsh league and went to Scunthorpe as physio and moved up the ranks there and he never looked back.

Wouldn't mind him as manager but I doubt the old fogeys would give a look in as he's not Welsh.
