World champ at young age , cancer that involved losing a testicle and 3 holes drilled in head to extract cancer 15 lesions size of half golf balls on lungs. Cofidis his french team ripped up his contract on his death bed. He vowed they would all fall one by one when he returned to cycling. 7 tour de france wins with all his nearest rivals tested poss there or after for doping apart from possibly josef beloki who crashed out retiring with broken femur , hip , hand and elbow. Sure he doped like most pro sportsmen .including the rugby boys are on it . He competed on a level playing field and crushed them even 2004 when all the other teams got together to beat him. Oh and raised over 300 mill for cancer. True its all caved in around him, but hey he aint murdered anyone. All the people tut tutting no f**k all and many consuming amounts of Recreational drugs every weekend. The Beijing olympics over 200 competitors tested poss but only a few got done. They did not want to devalue the olympic games . I certainly are not condoning him but it takes more than that to win 7 times. His main way of cheating was re oxygenating his blood by blood tranfusions hence he passed 600 drug tests.

Fed up of hearing about him

What annoys me more than the cheating is the way he just tried to shrug off the doping results.
Thought he was above it all.

Bet he got paid a fortune for that interview.

I find myself agreeing with this. It seems many think he was an ordinary bloke turned into a superhero because he took EPO. The guy was still the best rider in the field and all his main rivals were taking the same stuff. Allegedly!

No one will remember his courageous fight against cancer and he how cheated death . Folk will remember how he cheated in life .

No one will ever stop drug taking in sport. The drug users are way ahead of the doping agencies.

When there is money involved in sport there will always be those willing to cheat.

I have a relative who beat cancer, however they didn't have the luxary of then going on to make a personal fortune of an estimated $100 million through cheating. They went and carried on supporting their family working in a mundane job, but what an amazing person they are. You say Lance Armstrong competed on a level playing field, so if he is saying he knew people were cheating then f*cking expose them, don't join them thinking thats okay?

All them people he's ruined by suing them for millions because they dared to question if he was riding "clean" if I was one of them people, I'd be outside his house with a shotgun demanding my money back grrrrrr. if he now ends up losing all his money through the courts and ends bankrupt, it will be justice.

spare the man jail he's suffered enough,

what about the other 1,000 riders who are doping who havent manage to win

they are just as bad

Re: Lance Armstrong the perfect person too...

I have no problem with his doping as everyone was doing it at the time. Hes one of many. What I do have a problem is is the way he has openly admitted to bullying certain people to get his own way, the way he has abused those close to him and called them crazy and mental when they've talked about him doping, the way he sued people knowing fully well they were telling the truth. Totally wrong in my eyes.

He's lost everything. I'd say that's enough.

I'd be amazed it he didn't have anything from it, if so why?

The interviews that will happen from it?

I dunno. I don't like the guy at all tho.

Well yes obviously that's why I just said it.

He admitted to taking performance enhancing drugs in every title he took.
If he deserves them then fck me that's odd.

the guy lied in a court of law!

Sued people who he knew were telling the truth! can you imagine what it must be like to stand in a court KNOWING what you say is correct, and be called a liar, a whore/prostitute ( in the case of that female doctor)

his cancer shouldnt even come into it, he is a horrible man who deserves to lose absolutely everything he has gained from a sport he has cheated!

I feel for the clean cyclists who never got chance 2 ride at the Tour de France or never even got contracts with the best cycling teams! He has taken all the highs that comes with being such a successful athlete so now he should feel the lows! And he is a disgrace for the way he has treated and spoken about others who came out and told the truth about him years ago! Showed no remorse in his interview IMO apart from when they mentioned his 13 year old who had been defending him, sad times!
