Over a month ago I said that the season wont truly start until after xmas and that I wont get truly excited by the realisation of promotion until we are right up come the end of Jan.
viewtopic.php?f=2&t=97826Well look at us, potentially 10 points clear tomorrow....potentially. As we all know a table doesn't lie, but I think because our 'performances' (not results) have been average for a while now, id say ill truly feel the excitement the end of feb if we are in a similar position. "What do I mean, we are potentially 10 clear you knob!" I hear you say? Well Put it this way, if we lost 2 on the bounce, Leicester and others start going on a little 100% run, then these lacklustre performance then will come back to bite. Its at the business end when if your performances aren't up to scratch you start losing the rub of the green, of which we've had tonnes of. Fans get anxious, anxiety cause nerves...we know what nerves do to a team. Being top for so long and then losing a gap...it affects your momentum whilst others are in full stride. Like being 1.0 up and battering a team, they equalise in the 85th...and then with the momentum they go and snatch a 2nd.
Without banging on, what i'm saying is tomorrow is what I personally consider the opening ceremony of business end of the season. We need to STEP UP! Show Leicester and co that they are gonna need to supremely exceed their game if they want at least one fecking sniff of us up top.
The team has been faultless in the statistical sense, how can I complain and if you read carefully im not complaining, neither am I being a doom and gloom merchant. I & we know the potential banana skins ahead and with the squad we have I do think those days are for the memory bank, but that squad need 100% reassure me and do the business in the business end of the season. I am a Cardiff City fan, I doubt everything.
NO MERCY!
