Spot on Carl BUT DOES malky see it that way I get the impression he wants to keep TAN'S MONEY FOR THE SUMMER... but Leicester are closing the gap. Fortunatley Middlesborough have lost 3 on the bounce but they looked good last night.
Hull seem to have had Stockdale ..Elmohady called back from loan and they have lost Suluko or whatever his name is to injury...but they are still an unknown quantity.. Palace i am not sure about...Holloway is a shrewd character.

I think we will be huffing and puffing without a proven big man upfront ..far too many 1-0 and 2-1 wins for my liking 13 i think?

Totally agree with you Carl and I will also like to see Bellamy playing out wide because of his pace and will provide great service to a central striker, unfortunately at the moment we just lack a prolific striker to be on the end of those crosses, watching Leicester last night convinced me that they have the best strike force in the division by some distance. We desperately need to compete with Leicester in this department by having a proven striker in addition to the probable arrival of Campbell and I just hope that this can be achieved soon to maintain our fantastic position.

I Agree with You Carl But Malky is a Shrewd Guy, Why would he Chance Not signing Reinforcments to help Get us up cos he Knows If we dont go up he wont be here in the summer to spend the money he saved, he knows Tan is Ruthless

Carl, i would be interested to know where you think Campbell will fit in. :ayatollah:

Assuming we play a target man (Helguson/Gestede) +1 then do you think Campbell should start ahead of Bellamy or Mason?

Do you think that Campbell should start alongside Bellamy, maybe, and that we shouldn't necessarily play a target man?

What about when Maynard is back next season? Just assuming we get to the Premier League then is there really going to be room in the side for Bellamy, Campbell and Maynard, or is Campbell just a quick solution to make sure we get promoted, kind of like West Ham did with Maynard and Baldock last season?

We will only maximise our teams efforts by getting Bellamy back out wide. He is not
a natural striker. Thats just a fact. Out wide he will drag the full-back all over the
shop and force defences to gravitate towards his side of the pitch, losing shape. Thats
when natural pacy strikers like Campbell come into their own. Give him space and
he will kill you.

I believe Campbell and Helguson could be a brilliant pairing. We could all see how well
Heider was starting to gel with Nicky Maynard. My only concern then would be injury
to Heider. Rudy Gestede is not good enough. When the ball comes to him, its a lottery
what will happen next. Will he be out muscled, will he be beaten in the air, will the
ball come off his shins.

So I would not be at all surprised if we DO get another striker in. We have nothing to fear
from Leicester, Hull or anyone else. Its all about what Cardiff City do now. If we carry on
defending the way we have been AND add a little more clinical finishing up top....

the World is our oyster!

Be honest we don't know what's going on behind closed door's.There may be negotiation's on going at this moment, this is a different manager, he keeps everything close, we would not have known about FC until a Sunderland team mate mentioned it. All MM signings with the exception of Bellamy came as a surprise.
Dave Jones on the other hand or to be more precise is back room staff could not wait to spill the bean's.
Malky know's better than us, who or what he needs. When he first come here he said judge me after 3 more transfer windows, well this is the third, no more excuses. In my eyes he is not doing too bad a job. :ayatollah: :ayatollah: :ayatollah:

Maybe I am a little old fashioned but I do like the big man and pacy striker up top.

Correct, show me a premier league team that does this.

You don't need to be big to hold the ball, Joe Mason will do this eventually, but what we don't need is another player that runs away from the ball.

Agree with Carl Striker definetly needed

Well a striker can't play another game during this transfer window for us so MM and his team certainly have the time to cover all the options.

Too right he is the only one linked who could play in the Premiership next season, although I think Malky wants better for next season, so is looking for a striker for the remainder of this season, who will be a back up Striker next season......
